Perfect for athletic legs!
Perfect fit for athletic legs. I’m 5’5”, 140lb with an athletic build and thicker legs. I’m in between pants sizes (small to medium). I always have a difficult time finding pants that fit my thighs and my waist together- if they fit my thighs they’re usually way too large for my waist. If they fit my waist my thighs will definitely not fit into the legs of the pants comfortably. These are PERFECT. I bought a size small and they fit amazingly. I took them on an overnight trip in the North Cascades and they held up to hiking 10 miles, sleep and lounging. They did stretch out a tiny bit (expected after moving like this), but the draw string makes t easy to keep the waist where it’s meant to be. Definitely recommend these pants for hiking/backpacking/lounging and daily wear!

Not durable
These pants are so comfortable and I really wish they held up. I went hiking in them (not rock climbing), I sat on a fairly smooth rock for our lunch break, and when I went to stand up, they snagged and ripped a big hole in the butt. For every day wear, they are wonderful, but do not take them outside-the durability is extremely lacking. I'm 5'7", 175 lbs, waist: 35", hips: 43". Large fit me well.

Comfy, but not bulletproof

These pants are super comfortable and cute. I want to give them 5 stars, but slight rubbing against gym walls the first day I wore them resulted in small holes. It was okay because I sewed cute patches on them, but it was definitely annoying that a little bit of climbing in the gym wore through them. Perfect for limestone climbing in the fall and spring though. I wouldn't wear them while climbing on granite.

Great improvement in fit, but wears out quick

I Love the fit of these pants compared to the regular Notion pant! Favorite climbing pant ever!- and I have La Sportiva and E9, etc etc. These are slick and stylish, the perfect weight and mobility. They work well for bouldering AND sport, which is awesome Because I usually wear leggings sport climbing as these sort of pants can feel bulky- but not these. I have worn them outside a lot, as a guide and in my own leisure climbing time. I hadn’t had them very long before I did get a hole in the butt- just got thin very quickly. I still think it’s worth it to get another pair, maybe I just wore them too much!

Pretty good pants

Got these for outdoor bouldering. Reasonably stretchy cotton, especially compared to the E9 pants these are replacing since I ripped a hole in the bottom. Too many high steps and sit starts. Will see how these hold up. Seems pretty durable. I like how they have pockets but they managed to keep the profile slim and tidy. I got the XS since I really don’t like baggy pants so they fit snug. I’m 5’3” 115#.

Decent pants for tall skinny girls

BD is probably the only brand I can buy that will fit my long legs with just the regular length. I’m 5’8 135lbs and all legs. Usually have to order pants in long or extra long. I got a small and while I could still use another inch or 2 on the length, they are still within the range I can work with since the bottoms are cinched. The drawstring is vital so they don’t fall down when climbing in a small box. They were a little stiff at first but by the end of my climb they softened up.

Best pants I have ever worn

The second I tried these pants on I fell in love. They fit me SO well, better than any pair of pants I've ever worn, and they are so light weight and stretchy. I just started getting into climbing, and I decided I needed to make the leap and get some actual climbing pants. I am SO glad I did!!! The thick, stretchy waistband is amazing!! I also love the cinched ankles and jogger feel. I have tried these out at the climbing gym and I think I climbed better than I ever have before (or just felt that way because of these pants). Great quality pants. Highly recommend!! Worth the investment. I wear a size 8 in almost every brand of pants, and the mediums fit me perfectly.

Good climbing pant

I have only worn these a couple of times climbing outdoors, so I can't speak to longterm durability but so far have been great. They fit true to size. For reference I am 5'8" with a 26" waist and bought an XS. I would say these are mid-rise; the top of the waist sits a little below my harness. I have not machine dried these but they have not shrunk from washing. Material is very soft but seems durable. Good flexibility for climbing. They will stretch out a bit after a full day on the crag but nothing excessive. I will definitely buy more in other colors.

every color

Guys. I got em all for my birthday/Christmas/just because. They have held up from November 2022 -feb 2023 and each pair worn at least once to the climbing gym (big wall and bouldering) and to work (I work with kids on the floor a lot) per week. I’m 5’8” 155lbs with a 33 inseam-these still feel like pants and not capris. Got a medium. I wear em with long socks. The SP notion pants are a great purchase. Recommend.

Comfy, but even the XS is too large

I wear an XS usually in Black Diamond, Mountain Hardwear, and Athleta. A 6 in Lululemon. I got the XS of these (my hips are 34", waist 27.5") and they fit so much looser than the model. It is not tight on my legs or butt at all. Fits the waist though. I think I will keep them because they are super comfy, but they need a petite version. I'm 5'3 and these are way too long on me. I can roll the cuff up but it looks a little strange. Too baggy in the knees.
