Good, but not great
Used for 1 week. Holds temp cold for 6 hours packing to lunch.(in truck, 80 deg outside temp) Put in freezer night before. Used 1lb yeti ice on bottom. 16oz pyrex snapware on ice. Apple and sandwich on top. Utensils and cloth napkin on that. Like:Good size. Easy clean. No dangling straps to get in way. Dislike: Does not fold compact when empty. Wish for slim outside pocket for utensils. (Time spent search and reach for utensils let alot of warm air in) Want: Redesign top (top hinge close, not fold close; it doesn't fold compact so no loss there) Good first version, look forward to improved future version.

WORKS WELL PAIRED WITH YETI ICE

PRO: I paired my new lunch bag with the medium sized 2lb yeti ice and it kept my lunch, energy drink, and 3 water bottles cold in my work locker. I was really impressed because it's the first time I have ever left a lunch box outside of the fridge. I wanted to see if this lunch box would work insulation wise and it did. It's important to note that the yeti ice is needed with this bag to maximize it's insulation properties. The yeti ice is sold separately, and either a 1lb or a 2lb fit inside perfectly. In the pics I attached, you can see that I put the 2lb yeti ice at the bottom, and then my lunch, and my drinks. I can leave out one of the water bottles and put the 1lb yeti ice in its stead if I want my food and drinks even colder and it would close just fine. CON: I think that a removable shoulder strap is greatly needed and I'm not sure why this was designed without including one. The bag is heavy when full, and having to carry it one handed without the convenience of a solid shoulder strap sucks. Yeti please take note of this. It would make the bag more mobile. Also for increased comfort, factor in a shoulder pad to be a part of the shoulder strap.

Perfect for my travels

I travel 2 to 3 days a week for work. I try to bring at least one meal, usually in the form of a salad, and a charcuterie container, which I keep cold, until I can get a hotel with a refrigerator , with a frozen yogurt container as my cooler pack. I had an REI cooler bag that I absolutely loved, but left on a plane and never got back. I received this as a gift, and I couldn’t be happier. Both of my large containers fit in there along with the yogurt. It’s very easy to clean, and keeps things cold. Absolutely suggest this!

Condensation is a problem

Used this in conjunction with Yeti Thin Ice medium. Condensation was ridiculous. Ended up getting work laptop and personal IPad wet while in my work bag. No damage thank god, but I’m not chancing it anymore. Was a gift to replace my kids hand me down lunchboxes, but they work better! I’m a huge fan of yeti drink ware, but unfortunately they’re soft cooler tech is not up to the price tag. Pics included.

The insulation on the DayTrip is the thinnest on any YETI bag or cooler and can sweat if left in a humid environment. Finally an Office Lunch Bag

I have been waiting for a smaller Yeti bag to take lunch daily to the office. Good size for what I need and I like the adjustable size of it. Material is Yeti tough of course, but not overkill. It holds a 1 or 2 lb ice pack fine. I wish they would have at least one zipper pocket somewhere inside or outside, and also a shoulder strap option. In the photos I packed a pyrex container, banana, juice bottle, avocado, fork, salsa (because Texas), and 1 lb yeti ice. It was compact enough to store it pretty re-packed in the fridge overnight.

Excellent product! I can get about 10 hours out of this and the cooler cube. Folds up for easy storage when not in use. Thank you!

Skip this one

First off I'm a huge Yeti fanboy so I was excited to get this bag. I understood it wasn't a cooler and read the negative reviews. The bag definitely sweats and even using a Yeti 2lbs ice it only keeps things cool a couple of hours. The biggest disappointment for me was the lack of outside pockets. Space inside the bag with a Yeti 2lbs ice is very limited and the lack of any outside pockets just exasperates this short coming. The back of the bag is a huge empty space that could of had a slip pocket to hold a couple bars or utensils. Overall I wish I had held off and got the smallest Yeti Hopper. Hopefully Yeti makes a 2.0 of this product.

Great Build

Love all things Yeti. Got this big a few days ago love it and today was my first day using it. And the results were not great. Used a 2 LB Yeti ice put the bag together at 6 am by 12 pm everything was room temperature not happy about that. Another issue, not strap shoulder carry or slot to slide over your roller case or pelican. I've solved that problem with velcro through the loops next to the carry handle to secure. Overall a great bag but may return it of the cooling issue persist.

Good concept..bad execution

I bought this for my husband about a month ago. We are a Yeti family (multiple cooler, cups, thermos' & coozies) & until now Love ALL our Yeti products. The lunch bag is disappointing for sure. The bag doesnt stay cold for long (we use 2 Yeti ice packs). The lunch bag also sweats a great deal on the outside (which this has NEVER been an issue with any other Yeti). We are definitely NOT happy nor satisfied with this product. It is quite a costly lesson. The bag itself is made nicely & seems to be durable (which is why I gave you 2 stars). Cant even register it because there was no registration card/numbers with lunch bag when received. I was hoping for a much better bag. Pam C. YETI family
