All of these negative reviews appear to be from people who didn't know that this is a triathlon jersey. It isn't designed to be a running tank top or for cycling. It is meant to be used to swim, bike, and run; hence the tight fit (so you can wear it under your wetsuit). Having had three or four tri tops, this is my favorite one so far. It has two rear pockets, which are big enough for gel flasks, and its a 3/4 zipper, so you don't have to worry about opening the front too much when competing. If you are looking for a smoking deal on a gear tri top then pick this one up. I just used it in the 70.3 St. George IM and loved it!

Great looking shirt, form-fitting, supportive, breathable, has nice storage in back. The major issues with the shirt is the zipper. The stopper at the top of the zipper is a hard metal. I don't know why metal, but it's there. I've put 29 good miles in this shirt on 2 runs. After my first run I noticed a cut at the upper-center of my chest I didn't feel when I got it, so I didn't think it was from the shirt. When I was a few miles into my second run I realized it was from the hard metal stopper. The metal stopper was rubbing exactly on the cut on my chest and it was annoying and rubbing the cut raw. I opened up the zipper a bit hoping it would help pull the metal off my skin. All it did was open a cut on the other side of my chest. The shirt was no joke covered in a mix of blood and sweat. It looked pretty trippy. Also the shirt is short in the front. When I lean back going down hill, or take a deep breathe when I'm running the shirt runs up a little high in the front. I have to adjust it. Which takes away from my rythym and that's energy and momentum being wasted. I am 5'9" 155-160, 41 Chest, 15.5 Neck, 32 Waist, and I ordered a medium. REI was awesome. I called them about the issue. They immediately gave me a refund, and informed that I did need to return the item . Which is great. Thank you

Had to return this one. I agree with the other review, unless you have a belly button ring and are looking to show it off, this won't work for you. I'm thin but I'm 6'2", usually large tops fit, not this one.

I thought this top would be a good addition to my warm weather running attire, but sadly, it was much too short. If you don't have the remotest bit of belly fat or are under 5 feet tall, you might be comfortable wearing it, but it's not a good look for anyone else. I returned it.
