Don't feel like the only idiot on earth that follows the directions & "doesn't open the pouch"! You need to open the plastic pouch to get to the paper one. I bought both the main dish model & the drink one. They both work great, but a few tips: Be careful of the escaping steam It's hot!!! On the cup model the liquid from the heat pouch water may leak out the edge if you pour it into another container, so make sure the spout is the only thing that hangs over the edge of your container. I am not sure of the contents of the heat water, but don't want to risk contaminating my drink. I single handle a sailboat without auto pilot & needed something like this, so I can keep my eyes & hands on the boat at all times. It does the trick.

This is a super cool option for cooking food when you're camping. This system is really easy to use, and the fact that there aren't any flames involved, means it is 100% usable in places like National Parks that don't allow fires.

Just add the heat pack material to the case, squirt some water in, put the SS box in with your food in it and seal it up. A few minutes later, hot food is ready! I was super impressed with how well it actually worked (not a gimmick).
