Rated5out of5byBackbonehikerfromI would buy this product againI hike two times a week approximately 10 miles in our local mountains. This is my first pair of keen. I have nothing bad to say, they fit very well, comfortable, excellent traction and after hiking in them for several weeks it looks like they well pass the test of time. Very well made trail shoe.

Rated4out of5byLo SuenfromSolid But On The Heavy SideI wore this in both the city and on day trips during a cruise. While they protect my feet and are rather comfortable, I feel much relief after I take them off, since they are on the heavy side, after a day's walking. I guess this is the trade off between protection and comfort?

Rated3out of5byCascade CommandofromLight and comfy, but NOT waterproof!I've been wearing the "mid" version of this boot for a little over a year, mostly using it for day hikes around the Snoqualmie and Central Cascades. I've put over 100 miles on them and I'm generally satisfied.
They are light, fairly supportive, and have good traction. I like the lacing system too, which helps to get it nice and tight (I must say though that the boot's gotten a bit looser with time so I use an insert).
I have, however, been very disappointed with their waterproofing. One wrong step in a puddle and my feet get wet; hiking in the PNW that's a big problem! The toe box is the point of failure so any bit of water above a couple inches or splash or heavy rain seeps right in.
I just took it on a very muddy backpacking trip in the Olympic Peninsula and basically spent a couple days sloshing around in my own shoes; mud would come up over the toe box and the water would seep right into my socks. That was the last straw. I'm going to try the Salomon Quest, which seems to have the lightweight performance I'm looking for.

Rated5out of5byCFordMOfromCareful of sizingI bought a full size larger than I normally wear and tried them on in the house almost every day for almost 2 weeks and they never did feel right. This is not the normal Keen roomy toe box. They felt both short and narrow on my feet - the narrow was the bigger problem. Other than making my feet hurt, I would love to own them.

Rated5out of5byArkilefromGreat Hybrid for Snow/Mud/EverydayThese are the best shoes I've ever owned. They do great here in the last frontier (Alaska) and I feel like I demand a lot out of them everyday.

Rated5out of5byMaileyfromDurable and comfortableI added insoles to help my high arch but the overall fit is very good. Used them through small streams while hiking through the Smoky Mountains and never got sweaty feet. I also wear these everyday for work and they are comfortable and don't cause my feet to sweat. Overall highly reccommended.

Rated4out of5byMTB AndyfromSolid Performer so farHave been wearing these as a more cushioned alternative to my Vibram Five Fingers. So far they are solid performers for everyday use and day hikes. Traction seems good and they have been waterproof so far in about 1.5" of water. Padding feels good and shoe feels very supportive.

Rated4out of5bydpalestine2fromReplaced first pair, but still comfy.I work in TV/Film, and pretty wear only hiking shoes when working because they're comfy, water resistant/proof, and offer some protection (next to wearing steel-toes).
The first pair I bought I wore just about every day for about 4 months straight (Yes, I know, not proper) and they are/were comfy. However one day I notice that the the heel part of the sole had a big crack in it. I am on my feet most of the day, but this isn't something that should happen. Brought them back to REI and got them replaced with the same pair, and so far so good.
May be just a bad pair, but they're really comfy and I would recommend them. And if they defect like mine did, bring them back.
