6'5", 215#, 43 x-long jacket, and this in size LARGE was a great fit.

Comments about Marmot ROM Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is awesome! The windstopper in the chest and back works really well, and I like the more breathable panels under the arms with stretchier material. The jacket is fine with arms fully extended over the head climbing.
My only complaint is that the hood seems smaller than advertised - not REALLY helmet compatible. You could unzip the jacket a bit and let the whole jacket rise up over the top of the helmet, but that's not really its intended use.
I use this jacket for running on really cold days, XC skiing on cold days, and hiking/climbing with a layering system.

It needs a little more insulation to be a better all around jacket.

Comments about Marmot ROM Jacket - Men's:
I bought this jacket to use on chilly days (45-65 degree weather) while i work (door-to-door sales) and I don't think I could have picked a better one! I didn't want something too heavy or too warm that I would end up needing to take off and carry around halfway through the day.
On cold days (45-55 degrees) I will usually wear warm Underarmor or another warm thermal, a polo shirt, jeans and some light gloves and this jacket keeps the cold wind out and keeps enough heat in to keep me comfortable and warm until the sun goes down.
On warmer days (60-70 degrees) I can wear this jacket over a polo t-shirt with jeans and I stay nice and warm all day without getting too hot or uncomfortable.
Other jackets I have owned keep me warm, but when the sun comes out and the temperature raises a few degrees, I get hot and uncomfortable. This Marmot solves that problem.
Also, I did go sledding with my kids in this jacket. It does a great job keeping you dry and warm as long as you wear the right gloves and under gear. it alone just isn't enough to keep you comfortably warm even over a long-sleeve button up shirt, but with the right gear and warm Underarmor, it does the trick. I love the hood that fits snug over my head and chin, even up over my mouth.
All in all, I recommend this to everyone and wish i had one of these in every color. In fact, my next jacket will definitely be a Marmot

From the mountains to the desert, this jacket works. Hiking/camping/fishing/kayaking in North America requires a jacket that can do it all, this is it! WindStopper + M2 softshell are a perfect match. Looks good, feels good. Went with smaller size, fits perfect with base, mid layer or just t shirt. Not for sustained downpours but shrugs off everthing else.

This is a great jacket for outdoor active pursuits. Not overly warm on it's own, but great for layering, or active things: snowshoeing, skiing, etc. Great colors, the Windstopper is great, and I love the fit. This has made me a "re-believer" in Marmot!

Comments about Marmot ROM Jacket - Men's:
I just got this jacket for my birthday. I wanted a lightweight jacket that would keep me warm on the trail and on my way to campus. This jacket is awesome. It fits true to size. I am 6'1" and 190 and a large is right on the spot. It is very comfortable and everything works great on this jacket. This is my third Marmot jacket and I LOVE all three.
This jacket is perfect to do active sports in. In really cold weather a simple base layer and this jacket would do amazing. I was in a T-shirt and jacket today in 34 degree weather and was cozy.
The price is excellent and you won't be disappointed. Only con would be its not waterproof. But it does do pretty good. That is why I have three jackets. This was not designed for extremely wet weather. But it does do just fine if you get caught in a small storm.

This jacket seems really great!! Just got it in today. It is a little bit thinner than I was expecting, add a good base layer and you should be good to go! Have not had a chance to try it out yet. True to size and length is great.

Comments about Marmot ROM Jacket - Men's:
I love this jacket. I am 6' 215 and wear the large. It fits like a glove. This is my go to jacket that I leave in the car to always have with me. I work all over N. California and much of my work is in the San Francisco area. There have been countless times that I have been thankful for this jacket- the WindStopper is great - completely windproof and warm to boot. I have the blue color which is great and would totally recommend this jacket. Hood is great as well, packs down small, and breathes great. Fares well on the trail as well - everything from a hike in the Sierra's to a day of skiing at Squaw- it can handle what you throw at it as long as it is not pouring down rain.
