Comments about ALPS Mountaineering Aluminum Camp Cot - X Large - Special Buy:

We have had two of these for about a year and we really like using them. We use them in our home when we have extra guests and on road trips in hotels and relative's homes. We have not used them in our 8'x8' tent since they are very long. If you had an outfitters tent or a bigger tent you should be able to use these. They are bulky and seem to weigh about the same as carrying a two bag chairs. The carry straps have held up but the bag is starting to wear through. The cot has had no issues at all, however, and we are very happy with our purchase. I have used the very light-weight costs and struggled with putting them together. With these cots, it is very easy to slip the end pieces on (i.e. you don't need to pull very hard to get the fabric to stretch) so set up is very simple.
