by fromA bridge too far. The channel is wide -- wider than my sit bones. It was painful after only a couple of miles.

by fromFell apart I thought it was a great seat. It just didn't last. I only had it for three months and have already thrown it away. Not sure what I am gonna try next. Probably not this one again.

by fromGreat first impression, too wide for me. When I first tried this saddle, I thought it was awesome!! The stock saddle on my Cannondale F7 was terrible and the Respiro was like a couch compared to it. I was doing 30 minute rides at the time and was loving the comfort this saddle provided. I started having problems though as the length of my rides increased. After about 40 - 45 minutes, I would start to get numbness and some pain in the area where my body met the portion of the saddle that transitioned from wide to narrow. It seems that this portion of the saddle is not narrow enough for me. Too bad, because the air flow system and gel padding are great. I replaced it with a Selle Itallia Shiver Gel Flow and can now ride comfortably for hours. Maybe other body types will not have the same problem.

by fromNot bad but still some numbness This saddle is a big improvement over the saddle that came with my bike (Trek 7.3FX), but the middle grove isn't long enough to really prevent numbness in your crotch over long rides (40 miles+). The groove should continue all the way up through the front in order to really relieve all pressure in that area. I rode in the Reach the Beach ride yesterday (80 miles) and after about 40-50 miles I was wishing that groove was longer. I'm going to try the Serfas RX and hopefully that will work out better for me. But overall a very nice and comfortable saddle with only this one exception.

by fromNothing special I bought this saddle to replace a tri saddle that promisd to solve all saddle problems. This saddle isn't anything special. While it is more comfortable than the Profile tri-stryke saddle, it still lacks the comfort needed for longer rides. It is o.k. for short rides in town, but needs all around improvement in comfort. While I haven'tused padded shorts, I think they would provide the much needed extra support necessary for longer rides. It is becoming my impression that comfortable saddles require a lot of money. I guess that is why the pros ride on Selle Italia or Fizik.

by fromA-OK! My buttocks has never felt better! The stock seat on my stumpjumper was killing me after every ride even with wearing padded shorts. My friend recommend me these seats and I have not regretted getting them. Well worth the money.

by fromImpressive performance for the price This saddle is a great value for the price. It has cushioning in the right places while having a minimal profile and moderate weight. This seat is very comfortable and looks race inspired as well.

by fromA must have saddle! I have been putting off upgrading the saddle on my '08 Cdale F3 for longer than I care to admit. In preparation for an adventurous outing coming up, I decided to pull the trigger. After reading the reviews of numerous saddles REI offers, this one seemed like the best one and boy, lemme tell ya - this seat is great! Not knowing much about saddle upgrades and how it might "fit" me, I initially installed it so that the saddle was completely parallel with the horizon. Seemed logical. During my 1st ride though, it became clear that certain parts of my anatomy (the boys) were not sitting well in their new position. All it took was angling the saddle slightly downward so that the nose was somewhat pointing towards the floor and that did the trick. Everyone was happy. I did a 12 mile trip today in a local park, riding on pavement, crushed stone, open field and mud and was infinitely more comfortable than I had been on the stock Cdale seat. I should note that I was wearing padded shorts on this trip, but last night I was not and stayed just as comfy on my 3 mile trek. The only con is that my Topeak Aero Wedge Pack will not fit on the bike anymore. The rails underneath the saddles are wider than the stock Cdale ones and the mounting brackets do not fit. Kinda bummed about that since that's where I keep my tools and spare tubes. I'm hoping that when I take the bike into REI for a servicing, that they know of some options to remedy that. Aside from that, this seat is a winner!
