PinnacleREI—Bloomington Pinnacle

Nonmembers: $10.00 per person to climb the Pinnacle.
REI Members and dependant family members climb for free!

All climbers must complete and turn in a REI release of liability form prior to each climbing session. Minors (under 18) must have this form signed by their legal guardian. Notes, phone calls, or altered REI forms are not acceptable. Print the Release of Liability form here.

Monday: Closed

  • Every Monday the Pinnacle is reserved for group use.
  • Groups who wish to participate must make a reservation in advance by calling REI at 952-884-4315 ext. 219.
  • Cost is $250 for each 2-hour slot (maximum of 18 climbers) or $125 for non-profit organizations. Payment must be made at the time of reservation.

Tuesday: Closed

  • Every Tuesday the Pinnacle is reserved for group use.

Wednesday: Closed

  • Climbing class begins at 6 pm.
  • People interested in taking the climbing class must register in advance by calling REI Customer Service at 952-884-4315 ext. 219.

Thursday: Sign up from 10 am to 8 pm (estimated)

  • We accept the last sign-up around 8 pm so customers on the waiting list can finish climbing before the store closes at 9 pm.

Friday: Sign up from 10 am to 8 pm (estimated)

  • We accept the last sign-up around 8 pm so customers on the waiting list can finish climbing before the store closes at 9 pm.

Saturday: Sign up from 10 am to 5 pm (estimated)

  • We accept the last sign-up at 5 pm.

Sunday: Sign up from 11 am to 4 pm (estimated)

  • We accept the last sign-up around 4 pm so customers on the waiting list can finish climbing before the store closes at 6 pm.

NOTE:

  • Closing times vary due to daily demand and the number of waiting climbers on the list.
  • Climbers signed up on the waiting list must remain in the store or risk losing their place on the list.
  • Climbers under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver.
  • The wait to climb the Pinnacle varies from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
