My hiking companion took to this bottle right away and loves it! He knows exactly what's to come if I even grab it off my kitchen counter!

The only things I would change is to offer several different sizes and improve on the belt clip. My 60lb dog will drain the bottle within 4 miles on a summer hike, so I have to carry a seperate water bottle to refill it for him. As for the belt clip I don't like how it's molded to the 'trough' so a full bottle swings and flops around which doesn't make it very comfortable to hike with. The nice thing is that it's only the size of a normal water bottle so it fits anywhere your normal water bottles fit (side pocket on pack etc). I would still like a little more capacity though.

As for durability it's held up great. I've dropped it several times and it held up great!
I also get a ton of compliments on it from passer-bys on the trail when we are off to the side for a drink.

As long as this product is available I will own one!

The belt clip part of this absolutely does not work. The weight of the filled (or even partially filled) bottle causes the bottle to separate from the drinking trough which then pulls the whole thing off of the belt, belt loop, pocket, or what have you.
If the bottle locked into the trough it would probably be fine, but it doesn't.

On the other hand it worked fine and was pretty much leak free when I carried it in my hand.

this thing is awesome. u can throw it in a pack and it doesnt leak. very convenient, my dogs and i love it. every dog owner should have one.
i use it on long hikes with no fresh water along the way, at the beach, or just running errands with the boys.

My wife bought this product for our German Shepherd. Our dog loves this little water bottle. It makes it easy to keep her hydrated and subsequently she can continue to play and burn off energy longer. I would recommend this product to anyone with an active dog that lives in a hot climate.

I liked it because it seemed to work just fine. One of the nicest I have tried (I have bought a lot of different ones) I had it for a few weeks until I dropped it and the part that is attached to the lid broke off and it can't be fixed I tried to super glued it but it won't work. I wish the plastic would more pliable so it would not break as easily.
I'm starting over and looking for the perfect one again.

Good solution for me, I'm always thirsty dog.
Complaint: My human dropped it from 2 feet and the hinge area broke completely away, now useless.

A better design would reinforce that area or change materials.

Ms. Sandy, my Golden Retriever took to this product from the start. It has proved to be a big plus for her when we're at the "Pooch" park, the beach or any where in between. A Great feature for Sandy is the constant aval. of fresh water at the beach. Salt water tends to make pooches sick so with this the chances of her gulping some salt water are much less.

Our dogs love this and know, when it comes out, that they are going for a walk. It is perfect when we know that water will be hard to come by (otherwise, we will bring the folding bowl) because we know that our dogs will always have water.

I love the flip out water bowl so you do have to make your dog drink from your had. However, 20 oz. is not enough water for a large dog on a long hike and the bottle's narrow neck makes it hard to refill from another bottle. It would be better if the back end had a second wide mouth cap like on a nalgene bottle.

I loved this gulpy - till I dropped it from about 3 feet and the hinge broke -- that hard plastic means it can shatter. I would buy another, but I am looking for a different design.

I see this filled up and I get extremely excited. Compared to all my friend's products, this thing kicks butt. It's easy to fill, easy to squeeze and set up. It's enough for my time at the park, so long as I don't have to share!

My husband and I walk our 2 labs nightly through the neighborhood, and even during cool evenings they build up a thirst. Instead of bringing our bulky carrier we use for long hikes the gulpy is perfect to provide them with enough water to satisfy them. We love the gulpy.

We recently bought one of these for our trail dog. We had been carrying a rigid plastic bowl for him to drink from, and were looking for something easier to pack. This product is less expensive than a folding bowl, fits nicely into a side pocket for easy access, and does not have to be wiped dry or put away wet after use. Frankie wags his whole back end every time he sees us getting his bottle out now.

This product is great for any size dog for a short excursion. It does not hold enough water for a long hike for a medium to large size dog, so bring extra!
