I use these camping and in everyday life, they're comfortable and well put together. I don't think they will every break on me, but if they do, I'll gladly buy another set.

If you want to eat your camping meals with chopsticks, then you need to get a set. Chopsticks fold in half, making the set short enough to fit in most cooking sets. There is also a short spork that you can buy separately that tucks into the carrying case to eat things you can't pick up with chopsticks. Overall, the set is well though out and very cool.

I've used these for years. They come in handy when I travel, get stuck eating in the office, and so much more. Bought on impulse. Will buy more for friends and gifts. They rock!

Ok, so I admit that they were an impulse buy, but how can you resist?! Perfect for ramen noodles while sitting by a fire, or pull em out at your local sushi bar for the "wow" effect. I also worry about losing an endcap, wish they screwed on, but I take good care of my gear, so I'll keep my fingers crossed on that issue....

I love these chopsticks!

I take them with me almost any time I leave the house. I bought them shortly after a hostel-hopping trip in Japan where I was constantly hunting down chopsticks.
I have used this pair at the office at lunchtime, on business trips, on backpacking trips, out at dinner with friends (environmentally friendly alternative to throw-away, splintering chopsticks), and visiting family.

These chopsticks have found a home in my minimalist "core essentials" alongside my LightMyFire spork, Squishy Bowls, waterproof matches, MSR stainless steel bowl with pot gripper, and mini-roll of duct tape.

Anyone who prefers chopsticks to a knife and fork, or just likes to take a break from the ordinary should purchase this product. These chopsticks are lighter then a set of utensils for backpacking and are comparable in weight to a spork. These chopsticks have an uncomplicated, exquisite design and in particular the wood is of excellent quality. While everyone else at the campsite is using sporks, this guy will attract a lot of attention. Be prepared for onlookers who will invariably comment on the creativity and clever design of the chopsticks. Now you can eat salads, stir fry, noodles, chili, or whatever dish in style.

These are the one of the best - random gifts I have gotten. They are sturdy and the weighting is perfect! They are compact for travel and easy to put together, clean and take apart. After getting a set as a gift, I turned around and started giving them as gifts myself! They are also a great conversation piece! Once you bring these camping, there is no going back to the fork for certain foods!

My boyfriend gave these chopsticks to me as a birthday gift about a year ago and I just LOVE them! I wear the case attached to my belt on my uniform at work, and whip out the little beauties for lunch. I take them everywhere- traveling, wine tasting (for the cheese blocks), sushi eating of course (very impressive to the sushi chefs, lol) even hiking, because you never know when you'll come across some rice growing alongside the trail... and also no bears have ever attacked me and I'm certain it's because they see my chopsticks and think "Man, that girl is way too cool to maul." Basically, it's the neatest little silly (but functional) toy I own, and by far my favorite present I've ever received. I suggest you buy your significant other one right now for no reason- you won't regret it! And get yourself one too so you don't steal theirs!

These are great! I couldn't justify spending the money but I guess I was feeling spendy one day and got them. I love them because they are not like anything else anyone has seen. You go out with some friends for chinese food and politely refuse the offered chopsticks. It's ok- let your friends make fun of you because they think you don't know how to use chopsticks. Let them laugh it up because the laughs are about to be on them! Pull these out from under your sweater where they have been hanging on a lanyard for an occasion just like this, put them together and calmly say, "Actually, I have my own, thank you. It's all about saving the trees, right?" I guess you showed them.

I couldn't believe the high quality of these chopsticks! The wood ends keep the texture traditional. I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten! My only gripes would be that they're a little hard to clean and they take a few seconds to assemble, but if you wanna stay traditional in the back country, look no further.

Comments about Snow Peak Snow Peak Compact Chopsticks:

I mean, come on, collapsible titanium chopsticks? Who needs these. Certainly not me. But I wanted them! I wear them on the stylish lanyard. I love them.

They are very light, and I feel confident in their construction. The wood seems sound, and the casings are nice.

The lanyard on the carrying case has two adjusters on it, which is nice, so if you want to wear them around your neck you can adjust the dangle height.

I am slightly worried that I will lose one of the end caps (that keep the unscrewable wooden part inside the titanium part) becase those are held in by small rubber washers fitted onto the brash end piece. If they screwed on, I would feel safer, but that would make them heavier and less convenient to use.

Overall I am a big fan and admit to the excess of having them every time I break them out at my local teryaki shop.
