    • Simply fill the outer cup with water and press the inner cup with filter into the outer cup to force the water through the filter, just like you would with a coffee press
    • Filters 16 fl. oz. in about 15 sec.
    • G3+ filter removes a wide range of chemicals, heavy metals and pathogens, making the Grayl suitable for use while camping and traveling; also improves the taste of tap water
    • Electroadsorption technology removes 99.99% of bacteria and 99.94% of protozoa, which can be found in tap water when municipal water systems fail or mountain streams
    • G3+ filter cartridge is rated for 300 uses, which equals 40 gal. of water; replacement filters sold separately
    • For international travel and outdoor use, upgrade the Grayl Stainless-Steel Water Filtration Cup to a purifier with a G3+ purifier cartridge (sold separately)
    • G3+ purifier cartridge eliminates everything the filter does, plus 99.999% of bacteria, viruses and cysts, including E. Coli, giardia, cryptosporidium and hepatitis A
    • Beautiful stainless-steel design is stylish enough for the office and tough enough for the outdoors; premium materials will impart no flavor to the water
    • Drink through the lid or take it off to guzzle water down; lid creates a tight seal to prevent leaks when you're on the go
    • Grayl Stainless-Steel Water Filtration Cup fits in a car cup holder

by fromcool design Gets rid of nasties with carbon and G3+ filter, but doesn't remove the relatively high levels of K+ or Na+ ions that we have in our Texas public drinking water.

by fromFast and effortless Picked this up at the Garage sale and now no longer buy bottled water as all the bad taste is taken out with this device. Very sturdy and easy to use but don't think its something that should be carried outdoors/backpacking

by fromGreat travel essential After a lot of research on good water purifiers for travelling, I found the Grayl and instantly thought it was what I needed. Unfortunately living in Australia it was not easily available, but I managed to source one from New Zealand and am so glad I did. My husband and I used it for travel throughout Mongolia and Russia, and it worked beautifully. It was easy to use - we purified the water and then transferred the water into larger containers for a long days travel. No waiting for tablets to dissolve, instant clean water. And no plastic bottles! It also looks fantastic and is indestructible. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to purify their water when in remote areas.

by fromGreat find I bought a Grayl in February of 2014 for a project in the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica--No community water system working--that was one of the reasons that we were there. So far two trips and it has worked great. It is not as fast as some other models, but it assures good water. Others came to me to filter their water before putting the water into their bottles. Even more important is the service from Grayl! They are great! I have had two questions and they answer quickly and bend over backwards to do what is right. Top notch service, not just product pushers.

by fromLoved it in Mexico City The Grayl was super usefull while staying in Mexico City. We arrived late in our hotel, thirsty and tired. It was super easy to filter water right from the faucet and it tasted great! I will definitely use the Grayl for traveling, knowing how easy and convenient it is.

by fromWhy didn't I think of this I bought the Grayl for my wife. Before getting a Grayl she would us other popular reusable water bottles while at work and on trips but would complain about the taste of water in some of the office buildings she would go to. The Grayl is so easy to use and works so well she is free to get water from any office or hotel sink. If you are tired of drinking funny tasting tap water you need to get one of these.

by fromPerfect Steel Water Bottle w/ filter This thing is awesome overall and worth $70, but if the price is higher I'm not so sure...was tough to justify $70 for it, but totally worth it. It's as skiny as a party cup, fits in cup holders, and not too tall, but tall enough to hold enough water for 1 person. Heavy compared to plastic, but really not heavy at all for stainless steel like some other reviews say. I like how I can remove the filter, and save it because I already filter my water at home with a Berkey. I fill it up with Berkey water, and carry it to work via train commute where none leaks with a rubber seal on the lid. This thing is innovative, and I agree that it is the "Holy Grayl" of water bottles w/ built in filter, yet I don't know if it filters Flouride(probably not, so don't spend too much if price rises ever).

by fromA very different kind of water filter I've owned 6 or 8 water filters and this isn't like any of them. It isn't for ultralight campers, but it's definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a filter. Two downsides: First - it's kind of heavy. For instance, I think the lid is really cool (it makes a little 'click' when you close it) but a different design certainly would have been lighter. But hey, it's stainless steel, which isn't light, and the unit feels bulletproof. Second - It takes some force to operate - my 9 year old isn't strong enough to use it, but my 12 year old is. On the positive side, it filters really fast - 16oz or so in about 14 sec (with the 'filter' on). With the 'purifier', which you have to buy separately, it's slower and takes some force - about 20-30 seconds - but that's about a liter per minute, which is pretty good. The coolest thing is the way it works - sort of like a coffee press. You pull the two sections apart, fill the outside cup, push the inner part down into the outer and water flows through as the two parts become one (not sure I explained that well). The result is clean water, in a closed container, that you can drink or share - I don't think any other filter does this. (With the my bottles, you carrying around dirty water until you squeeze, with the pumps, you need a separate bottle. UV lights don't 'filter', really). I think Grayl is right for international travel, day hikes and road trips (fits in my cup holder!). And I've actually been using it around the house, which is a first for a water filter (other than my brita pitcher). So, after 2 days, I really like it.
