    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Polar Loop Activity Tracker is rated 3.1429 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome fitness bracelet After reading the other two reviews of this product, I thought I'd leave my own. I feel much differently about the Polar Loop. I am very pleased and I don't have the same issues as the other reviewers. I owned a Fitbit Flex which was great for the 2 weeks it worked. But if I'm paying $100 for something, I want to feel that I'm getting good use out of it. Unlike the Flex, this bracelet is waterproof, which I've tested, and it's true. I also do not have a phone that can sync with the bracelet, but I'm not sure you would need one. The display on the face of the Loop gives you up to date information about your days activities (steps, calories burned, etc) so I wouldn't need to look at my phone to retrieve the same information. It doesn't vibrate when you reach your goal, it instead displays a firework type show on the face of the bracelet. I also appreciate that it tells me how much more exercise I need to do to reach my daily goal. At one point I needed to either walk 2.5 hours or jog for 1 hour to reach my goal. I was glad to know how much more I had to exercise for the day. What is also nice is that is has a clock on it. No need to wear a watch and a bracelet. The bracelet easily syncs with my home computer and charges very rapidly. And again, unlike the Fitbit, the Loop holds it's charge for a long time. I've talked a few friends into purchasing these as well. I don't have any complaints with my Loop. I'm glad I bought it, and I'll buy it again if something happens to this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I SO want to like this... but can't.. I had the Fitbit Zip and accidently fried it by wearing it in the pool. Forgot to take it off. So, when the Loop was advertised as waterproof, I really keyed on that feature. But, where with a Fitbit I could walk across a room and see my steps increment, with the Loop I could spend quite a bit of time walking and the display wouldn't update. Then, 10 min later, after sitting inactive, more steps would magically appear. Looking at the Polar site, I get the idea that it's estimating steps based on movement instead of actually counting steps. Maybe this works for some but not for me. That, combined with a site that doesn't display as much data, a weird proprietary data/charging cord, and no Android app pretty much killed it. Too, it has a cut-to-fit wristband. So no going back. I'm very glad I have the REI return policy to back me up - it may well get used. Positives are that it's easy to use and the display is very clean and bright. I feel like Polar is really on to something with the design. Maybe the next generation will be better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Donkey ... It loses whole days of activity or just stops tracking for hours at a time. Buy a Force or a Garmin. Don't waste your money on a Loop. Periodically requires syncing via a physical connection to a computer before it starts tracking again

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's ok, but .... Bought this at local REI because it was the only tracker that paired to a HRM. I got the Polar H7 with it and they paired fairly easily. The one thing that disappoints me is that I have been using it for over two months now and Polar still has not fixed the issue with the dates being off a day. Todays workout at polars website and app's week/month calendar show up as happening yesterday. The website and the app have a lot of catching up to do with other players in the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Started using the Loop on Christmas and once I figured out the Polar Flow software and the Polar Beats it was easy. I made it harder than it should have been. The Polar site has provided some very interesting training insights.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not fully baked Comments on Form: Nice looking; didn't enjoy cutting band to fit it properly. OK get over that! Comments on Function: Where the heck is the reset button? Oh, doesn't exist. Where are my options to be in control of my activity tracker, such as choosing when to start and stop the tracking? Oh, doesn't exist. Where are any interactive controls/options? Oh, doesn't exist. Where is the conversion from Steps to Miles? Oh, doesn't exist. Compared to my SYNC Activity Tracker, the Loop is missing 4000 steps half way through the day! Bottom Line so far: No interactivity between device and user, except to push the LED readout button. I expected to have a really Wow factor activity tracker that far surpassed my lovely, inexpensive SYNC Activity Tracker. A device that would sync w/any common online program like MapMyFitness, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings There is only support for iOS devices and no Android or Microsoft phones. I only found this out after the website went fully functional after the release. I contacted themfor a possible release timeframe, but after a week I have not recieved anything back. So far Polar customer service has not impressed me due to the lack of a response. The device requires you to cut the band to make it fit the user. This is great as it will be the best for that user, however, down the road, this will limit who else can use it. The device must use a tether to sync - unless you have an iOS device running the app. It is not like others where any bluetooth 4.0 connection to smart device will provide the link and download. The device is fairly large. For most men, this would be a good fit, however the lady of this household would not wear it due to the size. There is no active feedback when you reach a goal. You must actively be staring at the device or see that you made a goal via the computer/mobile device. There is no vibration, so don't expect it. The bottom side of the band has contacts which are required to be touching the user if the button is to be depressed and any information is to be seen. Good and bad. So far, I like the online format for the information, there is so much, however the device really needs to get the other devices to recognize it to make it more universal. Just got back from a swim and the swim was done at 5am - which does not show as an active time online. It starts at 8am and I have not figured a way to change the start time. It has not logged that I swam for an hour - whereas it shows that I did walk. Which brings up that the distance walked is different than accupedo and my pedometer. Don't expect it to be the same. I have a second one on backorder, which was planned for another family member. However, I will canceling the order due to the incompatability with the devices as I run mostly Android mobile devices and rarely get to a desktop to do a sync.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid if you want to use as HRM Purchased because of the heart rate feature. However, could not get the Loop to connect with a brand new Polar blue tooth chest strap. Also found the web interface to be problematic. Further note the Loop does not track miles, only steps. Really looked forward to getting this product, but major disappointment so far.
