Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 Tentis rated4.6667out of5by6.
Rated5out of5byfromSeriously, Buy This Tent.I bought this guy almost eight after returning the UL1. I'm glad I did. This tent sets up on no time, and while truly 'freestanding" due to the foot bedd needing to be staked out, that pretty much how set this tent up. All I stake out now are the front two ends of the rain fly and the footbed. I use the rest of the stakes on the guy lines, if it's going to be windy. I dropped all the extra stuff sacks except the main and dropped the weight down to 1lb. I am in no way a gram counter, but having a reliable tent that packs up to the size of a 32 oz water bottle is awesome. By and far, the best thing I've bought all year.

Rated5out of5byfromSUPER LIGHTI purchased the UL2 about 6 months ago and have used it many times since then without fail. I like the fact that I trimmed my pack weight down 3 pounds with this tent. It sets up so easy a caveman could do it. I mainly use it as a one man tent but when my wife accompanies me it is a little tight inside. We still have room to store gear if needed when it rains. I am all about ultra-light gear and this tent serves that purpose well.

Rated5out of5byfromBetter than it may seemI use this 2-person tent when I'm solo. I have used it with my wife however. We aren't big people but I must say that it's a good idea to really like one another if you share a Fly Creek 2. But as a solo tent, I love it. The harshest test came when camped on a ridge in Utah when a thunderstorm that last all night passed over. There were high winds with some very strong gusts. I'd set the tent up before the storm and the wind was coming from the side, which worried me. I kept expecting problems, or to at least get some rain under the fly. There were no problems and not a drop of water inside. I've also used it in snow in the Wind Rivers, though we weren't planning on snow. Of course it's not a great snow tent but it held up taut and fine for two nights. I bought it at a used gear sale for under $100 by the way. It had a tiny rip in the tent body (dumb reason to return a tent) that I repaired with Tenacious Tape.

Rated4out of5byfromsuper light tent for tall peopleThis is a great tent for use in flat areas if you are a tall person. I'm 6'4" and I prefer the 2 person tents for space. Great thing about this tent is that it actually fits us tall people with space to spare. It's super light, easy to set up, and rolls into a very tight package. I don't use the provided bag for the tent. I stuff the tent and rainfly into a very tight bag I made and the poles go on the outside fo my backpack. Saves about 1 liter of space. When you can't use a hammock, this is the best tent you can buy for a tall minimalist in treeless areas. Had this tent for 3 years and it has held up well in Arizona, Nevada, and South Dakota.

Rated5out of5byfromso light! high qualitySo far I have used this tent for 2 backpacking trips and cycle touring. I use the UL2 as a one man tent, which allows me to bring all my gear inside. I plan to bring this on the Continental Divide Mountain Biking Route this summer. Pros: The weight and pack size are phenomenal. I am able to backpack with the talon22 pack. Considering the weight, the construction seems robust. The fabric is insanely thin but has held up so far (I am use a ground cloth which seems necessary). It has held up in gusts around 35 mph and kept me dry in several rain storms. Cons: My only real complaint is that the foot area of the tent is not truly freestanding, requiring stones or stakes on the back corners to keep it off my sleeping bag.
