The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Garmin Monterra GPS with TOPO U.S.:
Amazing! I've had almost every Garmin and this one is by far the best I've used. It's super fast to navigate and the user interface is FINALLY the way it should be...easy to use. I was lucky enough to buy the last one in stock and I'm glad I did. Totally worth the price if you're an avid user that's tired of messing with old technology. The map topographics are 3-D and almost looks like a video game. This isn't your Garmin 62st folks. You can scroll just as fast on the map as if you're on your phone browsing Google maps.
Software is a little buggy. I've noticed the maps have FC(forceclosed) a couple times. I'm sure this can be fixed with a software update. What's unfortunate is when it does FC, it doesn't allow you to send the crash to Garmin so they can fix it. It just crashes and tells you, "would you like to wait or exit the application"..or something like that.
The other con would be the Android version. It's Android version 4.0.4 if I remember right which is extremely old. We're on KitKat now...Android Version 4.4!(don't quote me) I was very surprised to see such an old Android Software. Nevertheless, it's Android and I couldn't be happier with the mortgage payment I just made to Garmin ;)
Cons: Heavy. Considerably heavier than my old 62st and bigger for obvious reasons this is expected but I didn't think it would be this large. I'm kind of wondering how I'm going to carry it now. I'm probably going to have to buy the specialized case for that which I'm hoping has a carabiner attachment like the 62st. Again not complaining, it's still an awesome GPS.
Cons. This is a weird one. I had the device running low on battery so I decided to plug it in. I came back to the device several hours later and noticed it was back to its stock screen. As if all my widget and icon layout just vanished. I decided to download a launcher from Google Play and backup the homescreen stuff. This will prevent that from happening again. It didn't hard reset because I noticed the apps I had were still there.
All in all, worth every penny. Thanks Garmin for finally cleaning up your user interface.
