    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tire Lousy Shipping Good product. I've used these tires a lot over the years and they haven't let me down. DO NOT ORDER THESE ONLINE! They will smash them into a box and RUIN them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable! This is a great commuting/city tire, as it seems to be indestructible, grippy, and comfortable. After a few hundred miles, they show no signs of wear. It is also quite heavy and difficult to mount. I had to use metal tire levers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tires! Bought 4 of these tires for two bikes, easy to mount.( I have found that if you leave the tire in the sun for 15 minutes they mount easy. )They ride real nice, wish I got them long ago.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to Mount This tire was extremely difficult to mount on the rim. I broke a plastic tire iron trying to mount it which then punctured the tube. At least two other people in my club have had the same difficulty with this tire.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended.....no repeat purchase here! I absolutely could not mount this tire.....ruined one tube trying. Took it to the REI store and 2 bike techs worked on it for 20 minutes. Even THEY ruined another tube! Wear was marginal and I will not purchase another one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and durable. Previous reviews mentioned great durability, puncture resistance and water shedding. I would like to add to it great comfy ride, and excellent weight handling. My bike is usually loaded with groceries, work stuff, or some other items that make the bike weight 40lbs. Since I got these tires, my ride got smoother and yet I haven't bottomed out on any curbs or blew up any tubes. I'm running a 28 wide tire, and it still rolls pretty nicely.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wears quickly When my Continental Contacts wore out, I decided to mix things up and try this tire. It's a pretty good tire, strong, puncture resistant, good ride. However, it has two major cons which make it unsuitable for the kind of riding I do. First, it's very, very hard to get on or off. Not even the trick where you cinch down the section of tire you just got into the wheel with a strap before moving onto the next works(just like the grammar of this sentence). Next, to my surprise, the tread wore down in about six months. This may be because of my local riding conditions, but still.
