Picking up a stylish, warm jacket like the Mountain Hardwear Turnagain is always in season. Its waterproof protection and warm synthetic insulation keep you cozy on the slopes or under the stars.
Rated2out of5bySarahATLfromStylish, but weird hoodStyle / color scheme of the jacket looked great, but had to return because the hood was unusual. I didn't find it to be very usable because it was so big and comes down far in the front. I found the sleeve length to be a little short.

Rated4out of5bydrdani95fromJust what I neededI bought this jacket because I needed a waterproof snowboarding jacket with a snow skirt. It fits well with layers underneath (I usually wear 3-4 since I hate the cold)
I did need an extra layer on really cold days.
It does keep me dry and does not allow snow under the skirt.
I did need an extra layer around my neck because it is hard to zip up over my neck due to the big hood.
It was exactly what I needed and expected.

Rated5out of5byMayaMfromNice looking, lightweight coat and warm!Light weight coat but keeps me super warm. Even in 20 below weather I was toasty warm which is surprising since I'm a freeze baby. Only con is when I wore it cross country skiing I got sweated up and the jacket got wet. It didn't vent well.
As for sizing I originally bought a large but it billowed around me and the arms were too long. I traded it in for a medium which fits much better. A little restrictive when raising my arms forward but otherwise good fit. As a reference I am 5'4" and 150#.

Rated5out of5byBackpackerWendyfromQuality coatGreat cold weather coat. Medium fits well, with enough space for a sweatshirt underneath when necessary. Coat is warm without being bulky so an extra sweatshirt on really cold days is helpful, but most of the time probably not necessary. Good looking comfortable coat.

Rated4out of5byJennTfromMH Turnagain Jacket is a winnerI haven't worn this out in the snow, but the jacket has kept me warm here in the very cold Pacific Northwest. Cold for us anyway. I love the way the jacket fits, looks and feels. The only thing I can say I don't like is the way the zipper works. It seems a little cheap and it's hard to zip up sometimes. I think I'm wearing it in, though, because it works a little better now than it did last week.

Rated4out of5bybellamentefromGreat jacket, odd fitThis coat is nearly perfect aside from the fit and hood. It's durable, warm, pretty, and has pockets in all the right places. I'm a lanky 5'8" and can extend my arms out front without tugging on the thumb holes in the lining. It'd be brilliant for anything in snow. I'm slightly pear-shaped (12-14 pants) and the L jacket is perfect on my lower half and bulky on my upper half; the M is better on my upper half but a little snug below the waist. The hood on this coat is enormous: it covers my entire head and face and touches my chin. It's also part the collar, which makes for a lot of extra material around the neck. If you have an hourglass figure and don't mind super bulky hoods, you'll love this coat.

Rated4out of5byColoradoJennifromWarm and stylish, but runs bigI bought this jacket for my job that requires working outdoors for long periods in the cold. I bought it because it was the only jacket at REI that claimed it was wind-proof, water-proof, and rip-resistant. So far, it has been all of those things! The only downside is that it runs a little big. I am typically a small and occasionally a medium, but when I bought a small, it was a little big on me. The arms were a little long and the chest was a little bulky, not to mention the hood falls over my face!
Otherwise, the coat is very cute and I will certainly wear this outside of work during my other winter activities, like skiing and snowshoeing.
