Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lamina +45 Sleeping Bag - Long - 2012 Closeout:
Recently got this, and am already very happy with it.
I'm 6'2" and rather barrel chested, and super happy I got the long. Roomy enough, I agree that 6'6" is probably the max height for this bag. I had to try it out inside (as it's about 20F outside), but I keep my apartment at 62 and I had to open up the zipper to vent, so it was plenty warm there. It comes with a large stuff sack for storage. With the included compression sack I was able to pack it as small as 9"x6". For the price, I can barely believe how light it is and well it compresses. Can't speak to the durability really yet. The main (double) zipper seems of nice quality and it hasn't snagged at all yet. The bag generally feels fragile, which I think is because there are no baffles, but that really doesn't mean anything.
My bottom line. I couldn't be happier with this bag. Size and weight are great for backpacking in warm weather, and this thing costs about a third of what a down bag would.
