    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromBest Freeride Touring Boot I was able to ski this amazing boot for the second half of the 2013 winter. This is a great addition to the Scarpa line. The overlap construction gives incredible performance and the new touring mechanism creates little to no friction. If you are looking for a free ride, four buckle, performance, touring boot. This is my recommendation.

by fromAll in one - by Mike Leake This is by far the most versatile boot to hit the Freeride/Touring genre to date. It is stiff enough to handle the big lines, but light enough to not hold you back on the hikes and tours. The walk mode provides a great range of motion and because the boots natural position is ski mode, you do not have to worry about that untimely shift to walk mode while skiing. I just finished a 20+ mile traverse through the Talkeenta Mountains in AK (Bomber Traverse) in this boot and it nailed it! With over 10,000 feet of ascending and descending on the trip and major temperature swings, the boot handled it all with ease.

by fromWow I was on a search to replace my aging Nordicas and Scarpa Denalis. Tired of lugging 2 sets of boots on every ski vaca, I naively went looking for 1 boot to do it all. I tried them all: Technica Cochise Pro Light (light but mediocre range of motion and very thin uncomfortable liner) K2 Pinnacle (Stiff and beefy but laughable walk mode and extremely heavy. Good downhill boot, not for more than 1000 feet uphill though) BD Factor (No range of motion, flex stunk) This one reigns supreme. Hugely adjustable (forward lean, upper buckles can be widened/narrowed, extra lean shims included, heat moldable liner) The liner in this is awesome. Worth the upgrade from the Freedom std IMO. I tried both and the weight isn't that different but basically you are paying the extra 200 for the full blown Intuition liner. The range of motion on this on paper looks similar to the others but you must try them to realize the difference. It feels easily double that of the Factors and Pinnacle. The Cochise Pro Light is lighter but the walk mode is way worse and the liner is a joke. They skimped in all the wrong places. The flex also wasn't close. The flex maybe the best part of this boot. People say it flexes as good as an alpine boot. I tried alpine boots too and this thing flexes better, more progressive, more natural. It is pricey but if you want the best, this is it. It is not even close and it is cheaper that buying new AT boots and alpine boots.
