Lightweight, quick-drying and wrinkle-resistant, the Patagonina Byway pants are great to pack along when you're traveling or trekking.
- Nylon/polyester fabric blend is treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish to repel moisture and stains
- 2 front zip pockets with button flaps, 1 cargo and 2 rear drop-in pockets with button flaps
- Patagonia Byway pants have a low-rise waistband and straight legs; pants convert to capri length with self-fabric tabs and snaps

I was disapointed with the sizing. I wear a size 10 comfortably, and I couldn't even close then in front. I found that material was pretty much see thru, so wouldn't have been comfortable wearing them anyway. Back they go.

I bought these primarily to use for travel because they're versatile, light weight, and pack well without getting wrinkled. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable enough to wear hiking or biking but stylish enough to wear for casual dining, etc. The legs can be rolled up and buttoned for a capri-style pant (just below the knee). They also dry quickly.
I'm older and have narrow hips so I like the junior-style pants but not the low-rise so I have a hard time finding pants that I like. The fit with these is roomy without being baggy. They don't cut in at the waist or come half way up your ribcage as some hiking pants do. I normally wear between a 0 and 2 - the size 2 fits well with a little room to grow. I wouldn't recommend these for cold weather but in the size 2 there is enough room that I could wear a thin pair of base-layer long underwear underneath for cooler temps.
Overall these pants are excellent - I only wish there were more colors available in my size when I bought them (maybe that's a good thing).
Oh, and lots of pockets with button, snap and/or zipper closures.
