Comments about The North Face Verto 32 Pack - 2012 Closeout:

I just got back from a four day, 48 mile backpacking trip in Zion National Park. This was the pack's maiden voyage, and it performed beyond my expectations. My husband has the same pack and we agree that these are the most comfortable packs we have ever worn. With everything we needed for a multiday, shoulder-season trip, we could forget our packs were even there. I am a petite woman, and packs ALWAYS ride too low and hang away from my shoulders, pulling on my shoulders, causing sore muscles, bad posture, fatigue, and even bruising. This is the first pack I've used that I can adjust to hug my shoulders and back and put the weight in just the right place. My shoulders did not get sore over almost 50 miles. And even though the Verto 32 is extremely lightweight, it was rugged enough to withstand sand, grit, tree branches, rocks, and being stuffed quite full for the first day or two (till we ate some food!)My only complaint is that the sternum strap adjusts a little too easily, and can slip if you bump the buckle just right. I wrapped a piece of electrical tape just past the tightness I wanted and didn't have to worry about it. But that particular component could use some tweaking. I really appreciate this pack's simplicity and absence of unnecessary bells and whistles. It is designed with all the essentials, and nothing more. Perfect for what I want.
