The North Face WindWall 1 vest blocks wind, keeping your core warm on cold, windy days and goes easily under other jackets or other layers so you can experience complete protection.
- WindWall 1™ is made from 100-weight fleece and delivers wind-resistant warmth in cool temps and provides excellent insulation when layered
- WindWall 1 fabric blocks about 80% of the wind while still allowing enough airflow to ensure a dry, comfortable fit
- WindWall 1 features a mesh liner and utilizes a unique fabric-bonding process that allows a limited degree of external air permeability
- Features a windflap-backed, full-length front zipper, a hem drawcord and zippered hand pockets
- Regular fit eases layering

Bought this for my wife and she love it. It is nice and warm for late winter and spring wear. Comfortable over short sleeve or long sleeve T-shirt. Great for hiking in cold morning and does not bulk up. It is a little thick for warm day.

This product like all North Face products is awesome. The color is gorgeous! Like a maroon, not a bright purple.
The vest is soft and gently lined to keep the wind out.
The only reason, and it's not a negative at all, I have to return it is because it is too hot when hiking in the So Cal areas. Recently I purchased the REI version of this model and it too is too warm to hike in but because of the interior pockets I will hang on to in case I find myself in cold windy places.
In exchange of The North Face Windwall 1, I purchased the North Face Khumbu vest. It is perfect for the extra layer of warmth but light enough to hike the So Cal trails on a crisp early morning, or a beach walk on a fall afternoon.
