Rated4out of5byFreddyMcFatCatfromPerfect for cold morningsI like to run in the mornings but didn't have any warm pants. My husband got me these for Christmas and so far I have used them in 45 degree weather for a 40 minute run and they were perfect. The fleece inside is comfortable and warm and I had no problems with rubbing.
The only issue I think is the weird size. I am normally a size Small/2. The waist on these is a little large, even with the drawstring, while the calves were tight on me. This led to slight sagging while I was running, but I didn't really notice until I got home.

Rated3out of5bybryndisiofromSome drawbacks but over all high qualityI had read that these pants sagged so the first time I wore them I lightly tied the waistband, but they still would not stay up. Ever since I've been tying the waistband very tightly and they stay up now so I am happy enough.
The Brooks equivalent of these pants have a zipper at the ankle which always rubs my heels making them bleed. I like that these pants do not have a zipper, and the gathered material at the bottom makes them soft and comfortable around the ankles.
The key pocket in the front is very small. My house key fits in there easily, but my car key I have to really shove in and I always feel like I'm going to rip it.
The back pocket is different in that it's off to the side, I usually see back pockets like that in the center of the back waistline. The thing I don't like about this pocket is that it is too deep and anything I put in there sinks to the very bottom of the pocket and pokes my butt and sticks out funny. I'd rather have my stuff sit closer to my back that in the middle of my butt.
Over all I am happy with how warm these pants keep me in sub-30 degree temperatures and with how well they wick moisture. I would say they definitely are not for weather any warmer than 38-40 degrees because you just get too hot and sweaty in them. I won't be returning these, but I don't think I'd buy them again.

Rated4out of5byRgvane2bfromPerfect coverageLiving on a barrier island it doesn't get super cold, but it does get chilly and windy. These tights are perfect for running over bridges and causeways in the winter, they keep the wind out without being to heavy, or bulky. I would love more pockets, the rear pocket is big enough to take along several fuel options for long runs. Another nice feature in these tights is the drawstring, nice when you're trying to keep the bottom layer all tucked in. I am really pleased with the tights and I am sure have a drawer full soon!

Rated1out of5byReneeCfromgood material, bad fit in the waistI love the material - it is just right for runs or Crossfit workouts in roughly 40 degree temperatures. I also really like the fit of the legs. However I hate the fit of the waist - it is loose and won't stay up. I do a lot of Crossfit and triathlon exercising so have muscular legs and rear but have a relatively small waist. The small size of these pants fits fine in the legs and rear but the waist has inches to spare. The drawstring doesn't help any; the pants come up higher in the front than the back so slide down constantly even went the drawstring is pulled tight enough to cut into my stomach.

Rated4out of5bymunkeycfromGood DesignThe seams are flattering, and the gathering at the calves are great for very skinny legs (like mine). It adds a little volume. The waist is especially nice because it's not too tight like many other tights, which pinch your fat. So overall I feel really comfortable in them. Oh, and I saved money getting these since they are the REI brand.

Rated3out of5byrmomfromSomething was just not rightI bought these without trying them on. When I got home something wasn't right about the fit. When I saw the review about the waist line not fitting well after a few uses then I knew that was what I didn't like. I returned it for Moving Comfort leggings and I love these. Keeps me warm and I can wear them for other outings than running.

Rated1out of5bytmogyfromthey're okThere is no substitute for an elastic waist band. The drawstring doesn't hold the the tights in place no matter how tight I pulled it. I ended up cutting the stringing out and rolling them down not only to hold them up, but also to give them a more modern waistline. I didn't have anything in the pockets and I fought the tights on a 10 mile run. The pleating around the ankles didn't help any. It felt like the material was pooling around my ankles which it was because the legs were too long. Towards the middle of my run I could feel the pleating moving around. It seems like a useless style feature.
They were warm for a early morning New England run, but my legs were soaked when I got home. I didn't feel like they wicked very well.
They were comfy to wear around the house and do errands, but I probably won't wear them for a long run again.
