These shoes are so sticky. I brought them with me to stone mountain NC today for some scary runout slab climbing. I never took my real climbing shoes out of my bag! I trad led a 5.8 first climb of the day with these. Then since they did so great I went and led a 5.10R with them. And for people that don't know stone. 100' 5.10 with one or two bolts No gear is the norm:0 I was blown away at the level of grip. So all in all I climbed 8 slab climbs today and this is the only shoe I wore. While my friends were crying about how bad their feet hurt with normal climbing shoes. My feet felt great. I'm ordering another pair now before they are gone.

I expected a good shoe from FiveTen company since I already own few pairs of climbing shoes. This approach shoe is very comfortable and is very grippy — the most important for me. I read reviews upon it and ordered it a size up and it worked. So the sizing for this shoe is one size too small. The traction this shoe affords is remarkable, hence it wears out faster. Therefore I don't use this shoes on average trail hikes, but on 4th and 5th class scrambles it is amazing.
