The Mountain Hardwear 3-season Pinole 20° sleeping bag is an excellent choice for cold weather backpacking as well as car camping trips.
- Soft, compressible Thermic MX™ fill is engineered to provide superior warmth and minimal weight
- Offset quilt construction means no sewn-through seams and no cold spots
- Warmth is optimized through differential cut of shell and lining fabrics, allowing adequate room for the insulation to expand to its full loft
- Slightly wide cut gives you extra room to move inside the bag; comfort mummy cut efficiently maximizes warmth without constriction
- Tailored hood with face gasket forms around head to seal in heat
- Comfort footbox allows feet to rest naturally, angled out slightly with toes pointing, while fully preserving insulation loft for maximum warmth
- Insulated draft tube (backing the 2-way, full-length zipper) and insulated zipper gusset seal in heat
- Antisnag construction prevents fabric from catching in the zipper; locking sliders keep the zipper in place for ventilation options
- Comes with microfleece-lined stuff sack that doubles as a pillow

1st off purchased this bag for my 11 years old. It's a outstanding bag for weight and price, we as parents must think of are kids. Please don't hurt the young by making them carry a heavy bag, or one which will not keep them warm. For the price I paid for this bag it was a steal, and I want my children doing this well after I am gone, save their back and knees.
Now about MH, because I have 3 of there bags myself, different ranges for what I am doing in different conditions. Both there synthetic & down give you weight savings, good sizing, and compressibility. I have never been cold in any of my MH bags. There synthetic is the best compressible material I have found hands down. I've used may other different brand bags over the years. Now about MH's warranty it is the "Best" in the sleeping bag industry period. Unless you are doing extreme high altitude expeditions you can't go wrong with a MH bag.
