        Comments about New Balance LifeTrainer Heart Rate Monitor:

        Agree with previous post on this product, the HR feature is just terrible. I've had another "strappless" HR monitor that worked great during workouts. This one read for me maybe 2 out of 10 tries. The instructions suggest to get a HR you've got to basically be sitting still with little or no muscle motion. Well, guess what, I don't want a HR measurement when I'm sitting still--I want it when I'm taking a SHORT break in a workout/trail run/bike ride/etc. Usually REI only carries top rate products, not this time.

            Comments about New Balance LifeTrainer Heart Rate Monitor:

            Like many of us, I am trying to lose weight through eating healthy and exercise. I was so excited for this HR monitor. I am constantly counting the calories I eat and I wanted an accurate HR monitor to tell me calories burned during workouts as well as throughout the day.
            I am very disappointed in the HR monitor of this product. Needless to say, once there is a trace of sweat on your arm, the watch stops reading. Also, any motion will keep it from reading a HR, so you have to stop what you are doing (even if it is walking) in order to get it to read.
            Today I attempted to get a HR during my workout 10 times, I actually got a HR 4 times. Once it said my HR was 68, I manually checked it and it was 154.....
            I would not purchase this product again....
