    Comments about OllyDog Mt. Tam Hands-Free Belt and Dog Leash:

    I have been using a belted leash for my dog for ages -- he pulls a lot and it gives me more leverage. I had the old waist leash that REI sold, but the leash clips on that often came undone, leaving my dog off-leash. However, that leash was better, as it didn't have any slack or give to it, unless I made it longer.

    The belt on this is really comfortable and the pouch is great. Sits comfortably on my hips and doesn't move, even while running.

    The leash itself, however, leaves a lot to be desired. I am on the shorter side, and while I have this leash on as short a setting as possible, it still leaves the dog a ton of freedom...which is not good when trying to keep him close while walking/running in a crowded area. Because of the elasticity, I often can't pull him closer without grabbing him by the harness. Not ideal.

    I had much greater hopes for this piece.
