The orthopedic footbed is comfortable. They didn't keep the water out altogether. They take an extra bit of time to lace up, but once on, they look really cute and are warm, but not sweaty hot.

Ordered my size and couldn't even get them on. Too painful. The boot was too stiff, some kind of plastic shell inside that threatened to cut my foot. Awful.. Sent right back, but I will say REI refunded my money immediately.

As much as I love Chacos, these are a fail. The footbed is comfortable, the boot is comfortable, but if you're walking any further than to the car or from the car to the store, they create a lot of friction at the heel. 2 mile walk and they were a problem.
The eyelets for the laces are fabric, so they are hard to tighten, and I don't think very durable.
The footbed is nearly inflexible, so when you walk it pulls on the boot shaft up & down and pulls your socks down and creates friction. I tried tying the laces tighter around the foot but that didn't help. What good are boots if they hurt your feet? Yes, they are sized properly. I'm so disappointed, was a great price, fit great, good support etc. I hope I can find some other chacos boots that work.

They are cute, foot support is great.
I have a few issues with them though:
- It is not shearling inside the boot. It is faux-shearling lining. You can see the fibers are in a woven substrate. The part of "shearling" that shows around the laces is not necessarily sewn well, so, for example, one of my boots has a thick tuft of fluff sticking out by the ankle, the other has almost-bare, balding woven substrate. It's not very thick "shearling," so perhaps the fluffy side would wear down anyway and look like the balding side over time.
- The inside lower corners of the "tongue" - first of all, it would be much nicer if the tongue was gusseted. It is not even gusseted partway up the shaft of the boot. Since it is not, the inside lower corners of the tongue flap freely and have the potential to do strange things like bend and curl up. This was a problem on one boot that I tried on, where I could feel it poke and bug my foot. It may be a problem with the way the fake shearling was sewn on, making the corners chunkier or bend the wrong way. I tried on two pairs, and of the four boots only one was a problem here.
- the Vibram sole is great. It's very "sticky" and grippy. However, this is almost a problem when you are walking around indoors, as they are very squeaky on tile and hardwood floors. My young child thinks it's a hoot, but if you live a more sophisticated life...
- A lot of tension and friction go through the little loops as you pull on the laces. Is that really going to hold up over time?
So, they are cute, but the fake shearling is not that dense and may wear off (but that may even out the areas where there is too much fluff), the tongue is not gusseted and you can't tie them THAT tight, so watch out for water getting in. And if you do try to tie them tightly, wait for wear and tear on the laces (ok, they're replaceable) and loops (not replaceable).
