The Mammut Borah hoodie is a go-everywhere jacket. It's styled to look good around town and is made from breathable, moisture-wicking fleece fabric so you can take to the trails in comfort.
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5byBrettcpfromMammut Borah HoodyGreat looking hoody by Mammut. Own many Mammut pieces and they do not disappoint. No difference with this hoody. A t-shirt and this hoody on 50 - 60 degree days is perfect. Layered it under a shell too.
I am a pretty standard 6'0", 185lbs and the large fits nice.

Rated4out of5bySummitchallengerfromNiceTech SweaterI saw this at my local store and loved the look. Despite the price, and the small fit (I had to get the next size up), I bought it and love it for what it is. What is it? A nice tech sweatshirt hoodie that looks good out and about, après ski, and maybe during spring skiing. I think the term "jacket" is a misnomer. Maybe it is a "jacket" on a warm summer evening, but it is better suited as a "sweater."
The outside of the material has a nice finish. The inside is soft and warm (to a certain point). The hood is nice too. As others note the pockets are more like a hoodie and are open (another reason why this is a sweater and not a jacket).
Just realize that Mammut makes great gear that is an investment and runs small in size and you will be happy.

Rated4out of5byKG1fromPerfect 4 What it IsThis is Really a Perfect Base layer for Cold Weather Activities & Even A little Light Rain. As other Reviewers Have Mentioned, The Pockets Are Nothing More than Heat Pockets for a Cold Day & the Material is Not Highly Water Repellent, But I've found it to Be Very Comfortable, Breathable & lightweight. The Simple Zip And Pull Hood Design & Color Alone Made this a Wonderful find & I Get Double Takes All the Time With just the Hood Out Wearing it Under Anything Else. I Have the Darrington as Well, It's Heavier, Has Zip Pockets & a Terriffic Hood & Sharp Design But it's a little Heavier Base layer for a Colder Climate.

Rated4out of5byCharlosDfromNice Jacket with one drawbackI really liked the look and the feel of the jacket, but I didn't notice the fact that the pockets did not zip closed when I purchased it. The next day, I wore it out and continually kept losing my phone out of my pocket. I really liked it, but that drawback made me give it to my wife and get the Darrington jacket instead.

Rated3out of5byThe Outdoorsman 1fromLightweight Well Fitting UnderlayerThis is a very stylish lightweight fleece. The fit is pretty athletic but the chest is a tad bit tight; this seems to be a common trend among Mammmut products. I ordered a medium and am 5'9 170 (very athletic build) if that helps. This also isn't the type of fleece that can be worn in cooler temperatures with only a t-shirt underneath. It's not windproof at all, which doesn't make it the best for walking around town, but I imagine it would be great for more active things( climbing/hiking)... It does feel pretty good (i.e. not too hot, not too cold) once you get moving.
Overall, if it was warmer (at least more windproof), it would be my go to. I decided to keep it as a nice under-layer for the winter, and a light weight sweater for fall/spring.

Rated3out of5bySMalikfromLacks an Active FitI was in need of a fleece and I bought this guy thinking I'd give Mammut's fleece line a try. I was unsatisfied with the fit on this piece. The underarms aren't gusseted so it lifts right up when you move your arms. Also, It was a bit on the heavier side so I ended up returning it as I needed this fleece for mountaineering. Overall, it looks good and is warm so it would be a nice fleece to wear around casually, but leave it at home for your backcountry adventures.
PS: I ended up going with the Marmot Vars... Polartec Power Stretch is light, warm (~200 weight), and stretches!
