Comments about Oakley Radarlock XL Straight Interchangeable Sunglasses:
Great product. Paying a premium price for a premium brand, you know what you're getting. The hydrophobic coating repels water and sweat and, along with the vents in the shield, prevent any condensation/fogging.
Very lightweight, yet noticeable sturdy construction. Training for a triathlon I find they are virtually unnoticed in the transition and provide an unparalleled field of vision (i.e. peripheral vision is unobstructed in all directions, even when tucked into an aero position on a bike ). The "straight" designation refers to the earpieces which do not curve out to the sides like many of oakley's other offerings, making them an excellent fit under a helmet (I use a regular road cycling helmet and not aero/TT helmet, however, so I can't speak of a fit in that regard). Trade-off is that those "XL" lenses will look somewhat ridiculous on smaller faces (though I bought these for performance, not to wear out on the town).
The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. I do realize that Oakley would consider itself a "luxury" brand as far as eyewear in concerned, but $200+ is a bit egregious for any sunglasses, let alone with non-polarized lenses (approximately an extra $150 for a polarized replacement lens). If money is no object, 5 stars all the way.
The packaging is top-notch, though, comes with a zippered hard case, a soft pouch (which doubles as a lens cloth), an extra lens for low light conditions (orange tint in my case) and an extra nose piece.
