The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromSo far so good I bought this pack about a month and a half ago. So as far as field testing it I haven't had a chance to do that yet. I have lugged it around for weekenders at friends houses and I like the design. I especially like the zipper rings that allow you zip the main compartment open and closed. The fabric seems a bit plastic but overall I like the pack with all of it's compartments. I just wish it would stand up a better as it has a tendency to fall over all of the time. Other than that I like my pack.

by fromAwesome Backpack This backpack fits great! It is really roomy, and has a lot of functional pockets. I use it for line work, and it carries all my necessary tools and equipment! Would highly recommend if you need a great fitting and versatile backpack.

by fromExcellent for everyday use and short hikes I been looking for so long a backpack that I can use in my everyday (college), research (geologist) and small recreational hikes. This is the backpack. Excellent choice. Good quality, more than enough pockets for organization.

by fromGreat pack so far I bought this pack a few weeks ago to haul my climbing gear to the gym/crag. It has been comfortable to carry so far, but I haven't taken it anywhere farther than a mile. It has enough compartments to keep everything in its own place without over-complicating the organization process. The compression straps attach to an open pocket on the back that can fit a great deal of things in it (a pair of climbing shoes, in my case). The water bottle pockets on each side are generously deep as well. Although I probably wouldn't ever load it this much, I WAS able to stuff a dozen quickdraws, my harness and shoes, as well as a 60m rope inside of a BD Superchute rope bag inside of this pack. It has an impressive capacity. Again, I am uncertain how comfortable it would be to carry on a long approach. One of my zipper pulls on the 2nd zippered compartment broke after a few weeks of use. It might have just been a dud; I am still happy with the quality of materials. I would recommend this as a versatile day pack for hiking, or for hauling your sport climbing rack to the wall.

by fromExcellent for one day travel and hiking. I bought this pack for travel to Italy and use it many times for one day trips. It is very good in many relations: light, relatively big capacity yet can be shrinked to flat small pack, quality materials, nice looking and strong. Highly recommended as one day pack in city or outdoor. It also accomodate 15" laptop. Very universal!

by fromThis backpack is baller. I use this backpack for school and I absolutely love it. It easily holds all of my stuff with ease. I recommend buying a rain sleeve for it though if you go to school in a rainy area like me; because although it is resistant to water it is not water impermeable (these are small and easily fit in the pack). I also use this as my Rugbeer (beer and rugby) bag and it has survived many rainy and muddy days on the pitch and many crazy nights. I definitely recommend this pack for an everyday school or other normal day pack.
