Comments about Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack:

I use this on a Jeep, needed something simple that would allow me to open the rear gate - it works perfectly for that - mounts easily with spare tire. However, the arms that hold the bikes are wider than trail-hitch mounted Thule models, as a result while it works great for road bikes, it does not "work" out-of-the-box for (my) mountain bikes or hybrids. I bought two of the Thule extender bars to use with it - this works well for most bikes (but some MTBs simply won't fit). So, if possible, should test your bikes on one first - if they fit, it works great.
