Comments about Snow Peak Thermal Lid for Titanium Double-Wall Mug:

This lid is Snow Peak's product number MGC-053, and is designed to work specifically with the MG-053 Titanium Double-Wall 450 Mug, or the TW-122 Titanium Double-Wall H450 Stacking Mug.

I own the MG-053 double-wall mug, and the lid fits this mug perfectly. The lid is made out of a hard plastic, and has a silicon ring around it that seals against the inner wall of the mug. Your hot drinks won't lose heat as fast, and it provides a little extra protection against accidental spills.

The top of the lid is recessed into the mug a little bit, and has a sipping hole to drink from on one side, and a smaller vent hole on the opposite side. The recessed top is also angled slightly, so any liquid on the top of the lid will run back into the mug through the sipping hole. The two holes on the top of the lid cannot be sealed, so they are always open.

The lid weighs 1.00 ounces on my scale, for those who find that to be important. My mug alone weighs 4.15 ounces, so it's a 24% increase in weight over just the mug.

I bought the double-wall mug over the single-wall for a reason, and this lid is a nice addition to the mug for helping to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. Since these lids are made specifically for the double-wall 450ml mugs, it would be nice if they simply included them with the mug.
