REI Members get back an estimated $ 5.00 on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

    Princeton Tec League 100 Flashlightis rated3.75out of5by4.
Rated4out of5byfromVery brightThis flashlight was purchased to assist in light painting with nighttime photography. It's relatively small and compact for the amount of light it produces. It's very comfortable to hold, but changing the batteries can be a little challenging due to the bend in the grip. I haven't tested it's submergibility.

Rated1out of5byfromProduct quality issues?Just bought this for an upcoming sailing trip. Seemed to work very well until I went to remove the batteries. The angled head makes for a slightly obstructed insertion/removal path for the four AA batteries. When I used the typical "bang against the palm" move to dislodge the batteries, the snap ring that serves the dual purpose of actuating the internal microswitch and holding the external on/off switch to the flashlight body was knocked completely off, rendering the light useless. I hope this was an anomaly, as I will go through the return/replace cycle with REI, and will update this review if I find that the new one doesn't suffer this fate.

Rated5out of5byfromLobster and Scallop Free DiverHIGH POWERED/Short battery life. I use thick kevlar dive gloves which normally makes operating switches difficult, but not this one. This is my light of choice anytime I go free diving day or night. It's just as bright as larger units but it will cycle through batteries faster which is the only con. The trade off to me is well worth the smaller size, comfortable design and power even in wet situations. You'll be blown away with how bright this light is especially for the price. The only way you'll be dissappointed is if you're expecting 100 hours of batter life because this unit is not for you.

Rated5out of5byfromAmazingly bright for four AA batteriesAs a flashlight buff, this is the brightest four AA battery unit I've ever seen for under a hundred dollars. The 200+ lumen spec seems right on to me. My only complaints, and they are minor, are that REI doesn't currently sell the yellow model which is easier to find if dropped in the woods. And, the beam is not adjustable. But that is trivial. I have the bright P-Tech Apex headlamp with either wide or spot beam for night bike riding and wood walks and walks around my property and fields. So it's a tie between this an the Apex for my 'best of all' flashlights. I also always carry a second P-T AAA very light Impact II flashlight as a backup when away from the house, in case of malfunction. Too easy to step into a hole or trip on a fallen limb, etc., if a light went out. So far that has never happened.
