The compact Yuba Boda Boda bike offers fantastic cargo-carrying capability along with a stylish, easily mountable design.

Central to the Boda Boda is its shortened, and lightened, design, which helps make it more easily maneuverable, transportable and stowable than most cargo bikes
Aluminum frame is lighter than steel and features an extended rack to sturdily support heavy loads—whether it's farmers market finds or boxes for delivery
Frame-integrated rear rack is extremely sturdy and offers plenty of lashing points for securing cargo; bamboo top deck provides frame protection and load support
Rear rack features a smooth, wide board that small passengers can straddle and ride at low speeds, and runners along the base offer a convenient place for passenger's feet
Step-through frame design makes it easier to mount and dismount the bike
Kickstand provides stability and keeps the bike upright when loading passengers and cargo or parking the bike
Drivetrain features 8 gear options for casual spinning; frame can also support a battery for an electric-assist upgrade for assisted pedaling (battery not included)
Sturdy 26 in. wheels are built to supply supportive, lasting performance carrying heavy loads

To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. I'm so excited to see that REI is carrying this bike! We ordered one the minute they were out directly from Yuba, and we couldn't be happier (we also own a longer-tail Yuba Mundo). This is my wife's primary bike, and it easily hauls one kid, plus groceries. We can fit both on it, but they have to snuggle up a bit, so we usually prefer the Mundo for two-kid hauling, but because this bike is almost as short as a regular bike, it fits in a lot of places the Mundo doesn't. Plus, it's swept back bars and very upright riding style make for a very comfortable, but zippy, ride.

Biggest drawback: We can't attach a Burley Piccolo to it, so we've kept another hybrid bike around to do that duty, but no one (besides the kids) want to ride it.
