The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

- Quick-connect drink tube makes it easy to remove the reservoir from the pack without having to reroute the tube
- 4 hose routing options—either left or ride side from top or bottom of pack—let you tailor the Tokul pack to match your hydration needs with your riding style
- Dedicated hydration pocket features toggles connected to shoulder straps to suspend the reservoir at all times and enhance pack stability
- Secondary compartment stashes your gear and food, and has tool and pump pockets to keep ride essentials organized and easy to find
- A narrow pack profile, padded mesh shoulder straps and padded back panel with ventilation channel all work to ensure ventilated, cool-riding comfort at body contact points

I have used this pack in multiple XC mountain bike races, and it has worked beautifully. It is small and light - all of the weight on your back is essentially water, and you need that weight to drink! Before using this pack, I raced with bottles. Switching to a hydration pack has saved me a fair bit of time in aid stations since I no longer need to stop and search for my feed bags nearly as frequently.
I'm not sure what the reservoir and hose are made of, but there is none of the gnarly algae funk growing in them like I used to get in other reservoirs. There is also no plastic taste, and hopefully this means no toxic nasty stuff.
Do keep in mind that this pack is quite small. There isn't much room for extra gear in addition to the reservior. There are plenty of larger packs that are more well-suited to epic recreational rides where you might want to carry more stuff. The only other downside is that the waist strap is a bit short. Bigger dudes like me will have the buckles near the ends of the straps with little room for "seasonal expansion".
Overall, this is a great product that works perfectly for my uses (racing). Those seeking a pack for all day epics would do better with something bigger.

I was fortunate enough to have been selected to ride for Team Platy at Leadville 2012. During that time (training and racing) I became real familiar with the Tokul pack. Last week I pull out my gear for a day ride and thought how great this pack is. Light, comfortable, easy to maintain and a easy to use reservoir. While not riding anymore for the team I wanted to say this is my favorite Hydration Pack that I own.
BTW. this is my second attempt at posting a review.. hope this gets posted and help other purchasers

I used this pack at the Leadville Trail 100 race last year (2012). I was very impressed! Leadville is a very long haul so a pack needs to be secure, leak free and easy to refill. I had no issues at all and stayed hydrated the entire day. I usually don't like packs in MTB races but the Tokul is light enough and easy to use with no unnecessary flapping straps. I'm sold!

Prior to this hydration pack I tried several other versions. The Tokul resolved all of my issues with the other packs. The pack is light and has the right amount of storage and right size reservoir for longer races or longer casual rides. I love the straps the most because I don't notice them! Flexibility for routing the hose was a very nice feature too. Very happy with it!

I am an Elite mountain bike racer that has used a hydration pack for every single one of my races. Every second counts so I don't fiddle with bottles.
The bottom line is that this pack is the most comfortable fitting pack on the market for its size. I was previously a Camelbak wearer until I came across the Tokul. Not only is the airflow amazing but the cleaning process with the Platypus bladder is very easy and switching bladders is also a breeze. The bite value is top notch and the pack allows you easy access to you side jersey pockets. This pack has ample room to carry additional items such as keys, tools, nutrition, a phone, and a jacket.
If its good enough for Pro's, it'll be more than enough for you!

A wonderfully designed and constructed pack. Very well made and durable. This is my favorite hydration pack out there. The front mesh pocket is great for storing something last minute (arm warmers, etc) but there are still lots of internal pockets to store everything you could need. Bladder is easily removable and refillable. I've taken a few tumbles with this pack on and it is still in excellent condition. If you are looking for a pack to ride with and still be able to carry all that you need, buy this. You will love it.

This pack is the best hydration pack I have ever had. I use it for all sorts of off road riding and racing. It is designed perfectly to fit your body when you are in the riding position. This proper anatomical fit can not be found with other hydration packs. Besides the great fit, adjustability and cool looks it also carries everything I need for long training rides or just short couple hour spins.
