Highly efficient pole configuration provides spaciousness and near-vertical walls, maximizing the usable space—Asashi is a touring wagon on a sportscar chassis!
Door can be entered from either the left or right side and does not have to be unzipped entirely to gain access; door parts secure open with tiebacks and snaps
Setup is straightforward thanks to continuous pole sleeves, ball and socket attachments for pole ends, and an intuitive, symmetric design
Mesh canopy is perfect during warm evenings; catenary cutaways in rainfly increase airflow through the tent
Lightweight and strong DAC® pole system with press-fit connectors and lightweight hubs uses an anodization process without harsh acids
Storage is the name of the game here and Asashi doesn't shy away from the task; you'll find 4 interior pockets and 4 light-diffusing pockets
If that's not enough storage, unzip included vestibule and zip on an optional NEMO Garage™ vestibule (not included); big enough to set up beach chairs or store bicycles

The Asashi 4P is a fantastic tent. Setup was just minutes by myself. The continuous pole sleeves really help. Once the structure is up, the extra side poles stabilize side walls and give the interior more room. The interior has a bunch of pockets for storing gear which will make finding things easy. The overall size is perfect for what I was looking for. Much bigger than my two man but not as huge as the 6 man tents.

I have only set it up in my living room and can't wait to test it in the field next month in Death Valley. Excellent first impression.

This tent won the Editor Choice award in the 2013 Gear edition of the Overland Journal. NEMO is a new player on the field but is making high-quality tents and gear. Very happy and lucky to find such a deal at REI-outlet.
