    Even though the camera/lens storage is on the back of the bag I found immediately upon putting it on that it was perfect for carrying. The bag felt so light even when I had my camera and 3 lenses in the bag. I bought the bag to be able to travel with my camera, lenses, netbook, and other books and such. I think this will meet all my needs. It has way more space than a typical camera bag and a great camera specific storage area as well.

    This pack is a vast improvement to the traditional camera backpack I bought from a major electronics online retailer. That model lacked the features of a traditional hiking backpack, it was ok for short urban transports. This unit is very comfortable to carry and has adequate room for camera gear and the way the camera compartment is constructed is exceptionally useful. But, if you are like me and spend hours and cover distance in some outings, and want to pack extra clothing you'll have to be very selective what you take/wear. I would like to have a cargo net and some tie down straps to attach a tripod, etc.
    I gave this 5 stars b/c its overall design and functionality, since there was not a 4.5 grade.
    I like the rain fly, haven't used it but glad it's there.
