Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I've never found a pair of shoes that haven't hurt my feet until now. This is my first foray into barefoot and maybe that was the key. These shoes are extremely comfortable for extended periods of time. The top of the shoe is crazy breathable mesh, so these are not cool/cold weather shoes. The ball of the foot and toe area is very spacious - more so than any shoe I've ever worn. Overall, best shoe I've ever purchased.

Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I've used these shoes for hiking and Crossfit for most of a year now. Everything everybody says about how awesome they are is true, however..... If you don't wear socks with these, they will smell like hot garbage inside of a week. I don't think it was just my feet, because no shoes I have ever owned have smelled that bad. Wearing socks helps a lot, and when they get stinky, wash them in a washer with some white vinegar to " freshen" them up. Also, as far as using them for Crossfit, after the initial period when your muscles get used to these shoes, they're not that great for WODs with a lot of box jumps or Double Unders. That can get painful in these. Other than that, awesome shoes that hold up really well.

Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I just did an hour workout of running, jumping, climbing, agility, core, and a lot more. HOLY COW! these shoes can do it all. I wear minimalist shoes every day no mater where. These shoes have superb grip...EVERY WHERE. With these shoes I can do so much more. The added bonus is that they are minimalist. These shoes would be great for starter minimalist runners.

Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
Bought these for running the outdoor trails so plentiful in this area and they are just what I wanted. They are my second pair. Wore the first out over a 2 yr. period. They're good on sidewalks or hard surfaces but not for long runs. They dry quickly and the mesh breaths well, picks up a little sand as you run. I usually run 2-4 miles on outings and legs/hips feel great at the end. They are also great for gym workouts.

Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
For me, I had to buy a half size smaller to get the proper fit. That's the only negative I can think of. I went to the store intending to buy the VFF barefoot shoe, but after trying these changed my mind. In my opinion, you really need to try these types of shoe on and walk around. I probably spent over an hour trying 3 different shoes before selecting. I've had them a few weeks now and used them for running and P90x workouts. I had to change the way I run, but I don't get shin pain any more. That most likely means I was running incorrectly in the first place, but I think the shoes force you to run properly. I've found that in aerobic types of workouts, you must land on the balls of your feet and keep your knees bent to reduce shock. Again, that's probably the correct way to do it, but with heavily padded shoes, I didn't notice the shock until my knees hurt. Overall, I really like the shoes and think I made a good purchase. If you want to join the barefoot/minimalist running trend, this is a great shoe to give it a start.

Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I have a pair of the Trail Gloves; I've always liked wearing them although I just haven't done much running in them. Basically wore them to walk around in or easy hiking. I think the rock plate was throwing me off, but I still enjoyed the shoe. Typically, I always run in Vibrams, but last year I ran my first marathon, which was also a trail marathon that had TONS of rocks, and I finished but my feet had no protection against those rocks and felt like they had been beaten with a meat tenderizer for hours…. Race is coming up, so decided to look into some new shoes. Tried on the Trail Glove 2's yesterday! Loved them, took them home and then ran 10 miles, mixture of road and trail. The shoes where great! Really looking forward to getting more runs on them and race day!
I bought the black/green pair and I like color design, but some more color options would be nice (but thats for Merrell).

So far I've mainly used them on an indoor track where they work great. But I've also worn them on birding walks. In cold weather they can be a tad cold, but my feet have a tendency to get cold, so your experience my vary.

Great shoes. Use them for Crossfit and my knees have stoped hurting during the weight training.
Comments about Merrell Trail Glove 2 Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
Upgraded to these from the original trail glove. More flexability and stronger mesh so they can really take a beating. Worth it for avid trail runners.
