Comments about Leki Corklite Antishock SpeedLock Trekking Poles - Pair:

I bought these to replace some 10 year old Makalu Compact PA's that finally just wore out after a lot of use.

Comparing the old and the new the good:

About 1 oz. lighter
They are more compact when collapsed

The bad:

I've had the bottom section come loose and collapse more in one month than the old ones did in 10 years.
The handles are a little smaller than the old grips. Not a big deal unless you have large hands.

I haven't had these long enough to know how rugged they are but they look like they should be able to take the same abuse as the old Makalu's.
