This looks like a great jacket, but I didn't get a chance to road-test it because it is just too snug around the chest. My body matches the size L measurements, but the chest of the jacket has only 1-2" ease beyond the stated measurements in the Sierra Designs size chart. This is too snug to be comfortable, especially for something for fairly active wear. The sleeve length was OK, and the shoulders were close to large enough, but the chest was too tight. Length of jacket was fine.
I'm disappointed because I love the jacket! It's soft, has zip hand-pockets plus one zip chest pocket and zip under-arm vents. I like an attached hood on my rainwear, and I love the longer back length to cover my rear. The colors are great too. Waterproof lining doesn't feel sticky. It is soft and easy to wear.

I am 5'5, 125 lbs, and the medium size fit snuggly without any jacket on underneath. My old jacket is XS and is roomier than this. I have returned it for a size large. I recommend that anyone who is larger than I am consider a different jacket and check reviews for size first. Other than the size issue, it is a nice looking jacket and well made. The zippered armpit vents are a nice feature for this price.

I usually wear a 6-8 in all of my clothing, and in outerwear I wear a Medium. I ordered this rain jacket online in advance of my summer trip to Alaska, but the Medium is just too snug. It would fit perfectly if I only wore a bra/tank top underneath, but with a fleece underneath, it's much too snug. I'm exchanging it for the same jacket in Large. Otherwise the quality is really nice.
