Comments about Patagonia Capilene 4 Expedition-Weight Full-Zip Top - Men's - 2012 Closeout:
I gave this as a gift to my father in law. It seemed true to size, it was super light weight and warm. He loved it. He lives in the Ukraine where it gets cold and snowy so it was very practical for him and not too thick to put under a parka or larger jacket. Also, would be great for hiking, mountaineering which he also likes to do, and light enough to put in a back pack in case he got too hot.

This piece can be used in one of two ways, either a baselayer for extreme conditions, or a standalone fleece like jacket. Depending on which one, you need to change the size. I'm 6'2", 160 lbs, and got a medium. Surprisingly, the sleeves and torso were very long, which is nice if you are tall. The fit at this size is average, not to tight, not too loose. If I wanted to use this as a baselayer under a different mid layer, I probably would get a small to get a tight fit.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 4 Expedition-Weight Full-Zip Top - Men's - 2012 Closeout:
This is the perfect mid-layer, in my opinion. It is very light and form fitting, but it is sooo warm. I wear it right over a tee-shirt and it keeps me very warm down to around 45-50 degrees. throw a light shell or rain layer over that and it's comfy down into the upper 30's. the sleeves are a little long, but that is great because they do not expose your wrists when you are reaching, grabbing, etc. in your outdoor activities. highly recommend this!
