The Therm-a-Rest Alpine Down blanket is a favorite of backpackers and thru-hikers who value minimalist performance. It's design makes it more packable than most conventional sleeping bags.

    • Eliminating the zipper, the open blanket design saves weight; perimeter snaps offer multiple integration options around a sleeping pad
    • Durable nylon shell features 700-fill-power goose down insulation; box-baffle construction keeps down from shifting around, so cold spots are prevented
    • Down insulation delivers an unsurpassed warmth-to-weight ratio; it’s one of the lightest, warmest and most compressible insulations available
    • Down blanket works with a rectangular sleeping pad (sold separately) allowing ventilation for warm-weather outings
    • Tuck your sleeping pad (sold separately) into the baffle at the bottom of the blanket to keep the 2 together
    • Therm-a-Rest Alpine Down blanket includes a stuff sack

Please note: Therm-a-Rest products can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Alpine Down Blanket:

Backpacked this spring with temps down to the high 20's overnight. I was in a hammock and slept OK without an under-quilt. Completely satisfied with this light-weight sleeping bag replacement.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Alpine Down Blanket:

Spent a few nights out in with low 30s to high 20s at night. I slept in a Hennessy Hammock with a Big Agnus Insulated Aircore partially blow up. I wore a pair of light running pants, drymax socks, a short sleeve tech shirt and a CAP3 shirt along with a smartwool had. Blanket kept me warm all night long. Only cold spots were on my back from the pad / hammock combo (hammocks are cold to sleep it with no under insulation). I tucked the blanket under the pad and was able to roll around freely. Occasionally I would have to retuck it, but you could snap it with the snap kit if this was an issue for you. Blanket (regular) is long enough to pull fully up over my head (I am 5'9"). This is how I slept most of the time to keep my head warmer.

Blanket performs up and beyond the 35 deg. rating. Appears to be durable considering the weight. Found weight to be less than advertised here. My blanket weighs 21.3 ounces, and the included stuff sack weighs .7 ounces.

        I highly recommend this product.

        Service and delivery comments:

Arrived on Estimated day with Free shipping. In general REI customer service is the best. I purchased this quilt because I knew if it did not work out I could return it no questions asked.
