    • Frame is constructed out of heat-treated aluminum for durable performance; sloped top tube accommodates a short stand-over height
    • Trail XC suspension fork offers 40mm of travel to smooth out rough roads and take the jolts out of bumps and roots on the trail
    • 21 gears handle all sorts of grades, making easy work of the ups, downs and arounds; chain ring guard helps protect clothing from getting caught in the crankset
    • Shimano Revo twist shifters are easy to use—all kids have to do is twist the grip-integrated shifters to change gears
    • Linear-pull brakes supply sure stopping power and speed management; brake levers are sized for small hands
    • The rear derailleur hanger on the Diamondback Octane 24 in. kids' bike can be easily replaced, helping extend the usuable life of the frame

    All bicycles sold at REI include a free warranty tune-up. New bikes go through a normal break-in period, after which readjustment is important for longevity and performance. Bring your new bike in to your local REI for its free tune-up within 20 hours of use or 6 months from purchase, whichever comes first. Contact your nearest REI bike shop to schedule this important service.
