The REI Cargo Adventure duffel is designed for active travelers and workout fiends who need plenty of room for their gear.
- Large U-shaped zippered flap provides access to the main compartment; underside of flap features a mesh pocket with key tether
- Pockets on each end offer storage for shoes, boots and dirty clothes
- Adjustable backpack-style shoulder straps located on the bottom panel ease carrying; straps zip away when not in use
- Duffel-style handles and removable, adjustable shoulder strap with fixed pad provide comfort and versatility while hauling the bag
- Padded grab-handles at each end allow quick grabbing and hucking from ground to car, train or boat

Great bag overall for weekend use. Basically a large duffel w/ thick walls and decent construction. Zippers could be made to be burlier, but they're not cheap by any means either. More internal pockets and external compartments would make this better. Bottom of bag could be made w/ thicker material as it's going to be hitting the ground a lot - instead it has the same material as the walls and a pocket for the backpack straps. Not optimal since I'll only use this as a duffel. Great for car trips, not recommended for airports.

I've only used it for one 8-day work rotation so far. I usually take two bags, and this one held all of my work clothes and my other clothes with it's large capacity. With it loaded down, there was no stretching at the seams, and the zippers worked well. I loved the backpack straps that zip away, unlike other large bags which just let them hang loose and in the way. I am so pleased to have this bag for work, I just hope the thin fabric (which makes it a light bag) will be durable over time.
