This sees a ton of use for all my longer MTB rides and day hikes. I have a smaller CamelBack for quick things but the ability to throw in lunch or a jacket or even some sandals for playing in some waterfalls all while keeping it secure from bouncing around and pulling you off balance while decending the most technical stuff is fantastic. I never had the pack shift or even had to fuss with it on a 47 mile MTB ride of an adventure race.

I tried this model along with a few of last year's that were still in store on clearance, and the regular MULE. The difference between the models was significant enough for me to spend the extra for this year's model. The pack fits on my back perfectly. The air-flow spines make its presence almost unnoticeable. The air-flow feature is very important, as it moves the pack off your back. With the regular MULE, or other models that sit directly on you, my back would get sweaty after just a short while. Not so with the NV. I am very pleased with my purchase.
