I am pregnant and like the Sheebeast pants because they run large. These have a very soft material, but not a lot of the compression feeling you get some most cycling shorts. They are more like your normal casual capris. They have adequate chamois for an hour or two, but I would not bike all day in them. They are good for the gym, if you are doing a cycle class (I am a group cycling instructor) then maybe you want to hang around and do some weights, because they do not look like normal bike pants and are more stretchy around the knees to do squats and walk around more feely. Overall good for casual riding or cross-training days, but not for all all out riding for many hours. I would not consider them warm weather wear, as they are a reasonably thin soft cotton blend type of material.

Ok, Shebeest was out of the market for a year. A long year if you were in need of some new cycling togs! My first two and to date best bike shorts, were Shebeest. Love is to small a word for how I felt about them.

These however, don't even belong on the same page. (Best I could do here was another paragraph!) I'm on my way back to REI to return them. Yes I did wear them on a ride. They chafed something awful and I could tell were only going to get worse. I will also make a point of writting to Shebeest themselves to let them know what I think of the chamois on these pants. I love the leg coverage, the fabric is nice but the chamois is a shame!

Very sorry to do this, but don't want anyone else getting turned off to cycling or proper cycling clothes because of these pants. Just my sore and humble opinion!
