Comments about REI Lite-Core 1.5 Self-Inflating Pad - 2010 Special Buy:
I love backpack camping but my family would rather stay at the hotel. So I purchased 2 of these for my wife and I, hoping that a comfortable night sleep would help with the complaining. And that it did. It's very light for backpack camping and it's at that threshold between the super lightweight mats and the heavy thick ones. It's very comfortable and gives you that added warmth from the great insulation. I'm very pleased.

Comments about REI Lite-Core 1.5 Self-Inflating Pad - 2010 Special Buy:
Basically it avoids the hard contact of your bones against the ground. And this is exactly what I need for my camping. I loved. Now I dont dream any more with a hotel bed.

Comments about REI Lite-Core 1.5 Self-Inflating Pad - 2010 Special Buy:
I got this pad about a year ago. I love how small it packs down when deflated. It also inflates very quickly. I live in Houston so I can't say I've used it in very cold conditions, but it definitely provides some insulation from the ground. I found that I need to tweak the inflation a little for comfort. If you like it a little softer, squeeze some of the air out before closing the valve. If you like it a little firmer, blow a little extra air into the valve before closing it. I've read reviews of some people having issues with leaks, but I've had no problems so far.
