by fromVery stable and versatile I love this kayak! I love that it comes in multiple colors. It its a pretty wide kayak so it is very stable. There is plenty of storage. There are tracks on either side of the kayak so it will be easy for me to add fishing accessories. Great kayak for the money!!!

by fromOverall positive the boat is heavy compared to my old perception swifty, but the roominess and fishing friendly features make it worth it...i think. only problem is that the front drag handle came undone while dragging it out of a creek. it was just a loose bolt which was easily tightened, once at home. Also, be careful of placing the various straps in contact with the cross bar of your car rack. I had one almost completely cut through after a 40 minute drive.

by fromGreat all around Kayak; Super versatile Great kayak; super versatile. It has lots of storage. It's stable but fun in rapids yet has enough storage and versatility for a full day of Alaska fishing. I'd highly recommend this kayak for a multi-use recreational kayak. The one downside was that in heavy surf, breaking over the boat, it got a little sporty.

by fromPecos Worthy I purchased this kayak specifically for a 5-day, 61 mile paddle down the Pecos River with 9 of my friends. The Tarpon 100 easily held all my food and camping gear and performed well all five days. Even though I tumped out in a couple of the rougher rapids, my gear stayed put and the boat stayed solid. I can't say the same for my paddles, though. The only thing I want to try to improve is the seals around the hatches so that they will not leak as much when water is coming over the bow or when the boat is upside down. I don't know if it is possible but, if so, it would be even nicer.

by fromAmazing Kayak I've used my Tarpon in the ocean with 2-3 ft swells and it handled that with ease. This kayak has more storage capacity than my Pungo 120, and could easily hold enough gear for a 7+ day trip. For its size, the Tarpon 100 has extraordinary tracking, maneuverability, and speed. It's width and extra features make fishing off of it very easy. However, this is a heavy kayak. Some people may struggle transporting it.
