With the recent addition to our family we were on the hunt for a bigger tent to hold all four of us on our outdoor adventures. We do a lot of paddling and backpacking, so we didn't want a huge car camping tent. After to talking to some friends we thought we'd take a chance on the Gemini III. We were really glad that we did. We've owned several different tents and this is by far the easiest and fastest to setup. There's lots of attention paid to small details that make this a fabulous tent...numbered sleeves, color coded clips, dual purpose guy-wire bags/visibility flags, etc.

For families with small kids (we've got 2 under 5) it's a great tent. The high ceiling means your kids can stand up in the tent and not push on the walls. The vertical doors also mean that your kids (and adults) can enter the tent more easily without a lot of squatting or leaning on the tent. The door flaps hinge from the top of the tent, so when your kids unzip the door flap it won't flop in the mud nor will your kids be able to step on it with their muddy boots. I'd definitely recommend this tent for your family. The vestibules are also big enough to store all of our stuff from the rain.

I only wish REI carried more of the tents in the store so you could try them out before buying, at least the return policy is great!
